  2. I really appreciate the work LTT does. Lately I'm having a bit of a life reevaluation and I think it and Linus' history is helping me figure out what to do. Thank you!
  3. You inherently support their marketing and the company as a whole by buying their product though... The other things you mentioned are also a problem, but it has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
  4. I'm interested if you get more.
  5. I still hold that 1440p is a downside in this form factor.
  6. I'm surprised so many people agree. Yeah, I agree too. I'm not well versed in smartphones but I've seen the screen on the Moto G and the Nexus 5. I could see the first getting a very, very slight improvement with 1080p, but I can't imagine an improvement on the latter. 1440p does seem to be considered an advantage by a lot of people even though it's an obvious, big battery drain. Battery life is already really bad as it stands...
  7. Where are you getting an M8 for 500 bucks, if I may ask?
  8. Currently using an old Samsung phone which doesn't even run on Android.
  9. I see. Thanks for the info, everyone.
  10. 1. Battery conservation? Unless I don't understand what AMOLED is. 2. I realize this, but like I said, I don't want to buy a phone every year, so I'm just trying to make a solid investment. 3. I know that? That's why I'm asking about the 6 and am interested in 5.
  11. I don't follow the world of smartphones too closely at all, but I'm looking for one. My choice right now is the Nexus 5, but I've seen offhand remarks about how the 6th iteration is likely to come out in a few months. So basically I was just wondering if anything else is known aside from that. P.S.: What I want in a phone is stock android, storage capacity for music (32GB at least), good screen (preferably AMOLED), good battery life (should last at least a day), as close to 5" as possible but no less, and hardware with processing power that is as future proof as possible since I really don't want to be buying phones every year at all; I already spend enough on my PC. So feel free to recommend other options, even if not out yet. I know of the 1+1, but the invite stuff coupled with the lack of assurance with it being a new company is off-putting. It's also bigger than I'd like, though I could in concept compromise for the bang for buck it supposedly gives, assuming it's actually well made and not prone to failure.
  12. I'd love an invite and also am interested in more of your impressions if you have them. How's the camera?
  13. Is this still running? If it is, I'm in.
