  1. I thinkl about this one or something similarly: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/asus-g501jw-cn217h-de-layout-1560-full-hd-intel-core-i7-4720hq-16gb-win-81-notebook-4673707?tagIds=614
  2. in francs it's about 1500, and I will buy it either from amazon.de or digitec.ch
  3. Hi guys I want to buy me a new laptop which I will be mostly using for school, but also for some gaming and editing. I live in Switzerland so the prices are different but I can spend like up to 1800 bucks. I really want to get a good laptop that still is not too heavy to carry it to school and back again. It shouldn't wheight more than 3 kg/6lb but it wouldn't be the biggest problem if it's heavier. (sorry for my english =)
  4. Hey guys As I want to buy a new mechanical keyboard I considered the corsair k70 the best choice for me so I went to my favourite shopping page and there are 2 types of the k70, the vengeance and the gaming "edition". Is there a difference other than the gaming logo?
  5. I don't hear any difference but for now I'll just boost it for 10db and then buy me a usb adapter
  6. And since I live in Switzerland it's more convenient for me to buy in a swiss online shop where some things like the syba usb aren't available. But I think this would be a cheap and good solution for me: https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/sweex-soundkarten-adapter-usb-20-soundkarte-361250?tagIds=76-525 and of course I would use this just for my mic.
  7. Could it be noise reduction? I don't see anything that says noise suppression
  8. hey guys, I recently got my new modmic 4.0 and of course I wanted to test it right away. but there was a problem: the volume is so low, it only records if I boost it which is no option because of the static noise... But anyway, I heard this is a problem with some realtek chips and didn't find any solutions for this. I also saw people handling this problem with a usb soundcard or something like this. What would you recommend buying in this case? atm I just use my onboard from my asus VII ranger mobo and it shouldn't be too expensive but if there's no way arround it I have to pay for it I guess...
  9. I just found a way to do it! I had to go into the options menu in the realtek audio manager and select the version where my headphones and my speakers show up as different devices with different audio streams.
  10. Hey guys, today my new headphones arrived and I wanted to test them. If I plug them in, it doesn't show me a new device in the playback menu. They just work if I select my speakers which then don't work anymore. How do I set it up to show me 2 different devices? This is how it looks:
  11. Sadly I live in switzerland where it's almost impossible to test ou things before you buy them...
  12. Hey guys Right now I've got a logitech g19 keyboard, but I'll buy a mechanical one for christmas. I tend to a corsair k70 with red switches, but I don't really know how different the reds, browns and my current ones are. unfortunately I didn't find any information about my g19 keys. If you know something about them and how they differentiate from the reds/browns please tell me. also other recommendations are appreciated. And sorry for my english, I'm swiss
  13. I'll soon be replacing my old logitech g35 with Beyerdynamic DT 990s ( premium) and get a modmic for it. I've got an asus maximus VII ranger mobo which says that "it has audio that's as great as a dedicated soundcard". It also says it detects impedance and will amp your headphones on higher ohms. Would you suggest an amp? I have no idea how much of a difference this would make. Any help is apreciated
  14. I don't know much about ram configuration, is it even possible to run 3 x 4GB sticks in a mobo with dual channel slots? And am I able to put 2 sticks each of these different brands and specs?
  15. I've got an asus maximus VII Ranger and an intel i7 4790k. My old mobo supported tripple channel and the new one is for dual channel I guess.
  16. Hi guys I recently upgraded my system and it works just fine now, but I don't know how to manage my ram. I've got 2 x 4GB of 2400mhz G.Skill Trident, and 3 x 4GB Corsair Dominator at 1600mhz. What's the best soloution here? Should I go with the faster or with more? Or even pick 2 of each and "lose" the higher speed. I've got an asus rog maximus VII ranger mobo which doesn't "officially" support 2400mhz ram, but I've heard that you can enable it in the bios. And probably most important: I use my system for both content creation and gaming, but I'd rather go with a better gaming setup which is at this point more important to me. Thanks for your help and sorry for my english Intergraphic
  17. So I finally got my new nh-d15 and it's awesome!!! I'm using it in single fan mode and still the max. temp I got till now is like 50 degrees! Thanks to you for your help and support!
  18. Ok I think this covers most questions for now, only one more because I'm curious: Why does intel send you a stock cooler for such a cpu if even my aftermarket one, altough it isn't powerful can't handle it at all?
  19. ok, I think it should be no problem, maybe I have to remove the ram heatspreaders, I use these http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2400c10d-8gtx and does it matter if the 2nd fan is directed to the ram or the other side?
