Burdock got a reaction from MG2R in The under 100 line challenge!
I officially have made the best js program ever. Javascript will never become any more useful or informative in any way.
Let history remember today. The day where Javascript became self aware.

Burdock reacted to foamygopher in What's the best GTX 970?
I would have to say the Gigabyte GTX970 G1. Its got a serious factory OC, runs really cool and is very quiet. I just got the 980 counterpart and I love it!

Burdock got a reaction from MattLantis in Greetings. (would I be dancing the overclock steps with my choices?)
I would go for two 970's in SLI over one 980
The GTX 970 is only ~10-5% slower then the GTX980.
You got 40pci-e lanes on that core, USE EM!

If you are new to HTML/JS coding, here are some tips.
Go download and read HTML5 boilerplate NOW http://html5boilerplate.com/
Use Chromes dev tools or firebug to read the source code of some websites.
Learn a CMS (Wordpress would be my pick for PHP) (keystonejs would be my pick for Node.js)

Burdock got a reaction from Alt_ in MSI or Asus for GTX 970?
I would 2nd the gigabyte g1 970 :
Almost everyone seems to agree it is the best of the bunch.
Almost everyone is getting 1500Mhz overclocks without touching the power/VOLTS. Mine runs under 65c at 1506MHz AND +300mhz memory clock. And that not even uncommon!
In short, the card is a beast.

Burdock got a reaction from Cheddle in GTX 970 SLI with 600W PSU?
I am on a 650w power supply and just finished overclocking my 2 Gtx 970's (G1 Windforce)....
I got a stable 1506Mhz Clock, and 7210Mhz Memory Clock on 100% power consumption.
Heat wise it was well bellow 80c with load : about 60-65c on the bottom card, and 70-75c on the top card.
The G1 Windforce cards are beasts, even without overclocking it boosted to 51MHz OVER the speed on the box!!
With only one card I could hit a stable 1580mhz core clock on 110% power and a slight over volt !!
Sadly in SLI this brakes my 79c thermal limit and was much less stable, still an amazing card for $350!

Burdock got a reaction from DeViLzzz in What do you recommend
The gtx 970 g1 gaming is one of the best gpu on the market right now. It's performance is only about 5-10% less then the 980.
Otherwise, get a used 770. People are selling then left and right for low prices.

Burdock got a reaction from JoaoPRSousa in AMD 9590 or i7 4790k.Is it worth the exra money?
A 4690k is probably your best option. It has the same single thread performance.

Burdock got a reaction from ERSCreeper in a few questions on upgrading from 560ti to 970
Actually the 970 games great at 4k, everything runs bellow 30fps giving you a more "cinematic" experience.
</sarcasm>

Burdock got a reaction from Manny Calavera in How much has CPU performance increased the last 4 years?
Comparing my old 17-920 to the i7-4770..... I had a 30-80% performance improvement o.0
I guess 35% sounds about right, but there are architecture, software, and driver, improvements to take into account.

Burdock got a reaction from Deletive in *Semi Speculation* What platform will have a longer lifetime?
Well put sir!!! Yeah, I was likely going to go with a 5820k due to its +25%-35% improvement over the 3790k in thread optimised tasks~
But there is always the siren call of gaming performance, oh sweet sweet Shaders Mhhhhmmhhh..... .... ... ... .. .

never see that much color in a quote, the options that you said are good, but it's all up to the OP for what he/she want's to choose.
