Counter intuitively, my work phones in the public sector have all been blackberry or iphones. Private sector were crap, besides my sat phone when I work working remote NT
interesting. Well i found out the nubia x doesnt have NFC support, deal breaker, so totally unusable for me

Can't speak for all zte phones, but the couple I had as work phones where complete crap.
Arent all work phones crap, since they are mostly low budget phones? (just my experience with work phones)

So i have stumbled upon a ZTE Nubia X brand new for 370$. It has a dual screen, with absolutely no notch. 93% screen to body ratio. 128gb storage 8gb ram
but last year CPU and GPU (Snapdragon 845 and adreno 630).
specs: https://www.gsmarena.com/zte_nubia_x-9347.php
I was wondering if it is a worth upgrade for the money? Is it an worth upgrade for my oneplus 3?

Last few weeks has been very frustrating for me. I have made a video editing workstation for my father and Adobe premier Pro is really frustrating for me,
because it never uses 100% of the CPU or GPU.
The LOW BUDGET Setup (full setup was like 500euros):
Intel Xeon E5 2658 v3
MSI x99S gaming 7
16gb RAM
1050ti 4gb
240gb ssd
1TB hdd
650W corsair 80+ gold PSU
old case for free
Win 10 PRO
Adobe CC 2017
I know that 1050ti and 16gb for editing is very very bad. But when he is exporting video in Premier he never the used RAM by premier never exceeds 3-4gb, the GPU load never exceeds 30% same goes almost all the time for the CPU.
When loading the drive is used up to 100% but when exporting it is almost never used (max 10%).
When he is exporting he is using the H.264 format. Most of the time he is exporting simple projects that have a lot of video footage (2-5hrs), only video correction, brightness, gamma, added music, picture in picture stuff, some basic transitions. So nothing very complicated.
Things tried: setting high priority to Premier,
setting available RAM to premier to 13gb out of the 16gb,
trying to export from the ssd and HDD
tried exporting with the Adobe media encoder with the same result
Any ideas?

well the 1240 is a quad core ivy bridge @ 3.4ghz so the 1600 would be the same-ish single core and would far surpass the 1600 in multicore.
u wanted to say that the 1600 would far surpass the 1240 in multicore

how can I unlock it without the password? I think there might be some old files that I can't find anywhere else. it is running windows 7.
u can always get the HDD out of the laptop, connect it to other pc and get your files. You dont need windows pasword to get the files on other pc.

Thoughts on this mouse?
great mouse for the price, epic scroll wheel, great ergonomics, a little big so if you have small hands it is not for you i think.

I have an NZXT Noctua 450 case.
3x 120mm fans on the front as intake.
1x 120mm fan on the back as exhaust.
2x fans on the radiator (top) as exhaust.
with 6 fans the airflow should not be any problem for you, so i dont think its the vrms, you can always use a program(liek aida64) to monitor ALL temps in your system and see if they are getting too high.

Oh really? Damn I'll take a look into another board, appreciate the information sir.
thats hardly the case if you have good airflow in the case. What is your case with how many fans, and config?

People that get 32, or even 35Mh/s overclock the graphics card memory, and down clock the GPU frequency. You can do it, but at your own risk.
also 35mh/s is achievable when you crank up the power consumption, which is not a good idea if electricity costs are high

Recent news suggest to stay away from Intel, even though also the AMD is having security flaws but smaller than intel.

yeah but i have gpus that support g sync ,these monitors support freesync . i was thinking about selling my two cards for 400 euros and buying a used gtx 1080 for around 500-550.will a have a noticeable framerate difference ?
As it looks like ,its not that big of a difference

Got it, going right now.
Wait a second did you check latest linus video? 1440p 144hz IPS monitor for 300$

if i can play surrond ,then i will but if not ,i have to use the second monitor for other stuff . can a 5930k and 2gtx 970 run all games at 1440p and 140 fps using anly one screen for gaming ?
check the video in my older post, there yo ucan see framerates of your 970 sli setup for AAA titles with ultra details

ok thanks for the help, but i want another opinion just to be definitely sure before pulling the trigger and buying the monitors
Just quick check: do you want to play suround? or 1x 1440p monitor gaming + 1x 1440p monitor as second monitor for all other stuff while gaming

i found a really great deal at a shop near me for 2 gaming monitors at 550 euros ,therefor i think about buying them,
sure it can just some games might be bad optimized for sli therefore they will run a little worse than the others. 2x 970 is almost 1070. which has no problem with 1440p as for 2x 1440p in one game? thats less than 4K so yeah i think you should be able to run new games at medium settings with reasonable framerate though u wont be anywhere near the 144fps for 144hz monitor in any AAA games
EDIT:
this might give you an insight on 1440p gaming with sli 970

Ahh thankyou. As long as I know nothing is going to break I'll take that increase in mining power
yyeah, you should be fine with ocing the memory, just doint mess with the memory voltage, thats very very sensitive part.

Hi, i'm not a crypto miner by any means but for a bit of fun i have set out to mine a very small amount and keep it.
I have a GTX 1070ti which i use to game on, i have it set at a stable overclock of +235 on the core and +585 on the memory (using MSI afterburner), but when it comes to mining, i can push the memory all the way up to +813 (and -400 on the clock as it doesnt seem to help mining, but keeps the card cooler) without any issues whatsoever, but as soon as i close the mining program... things start to distort on screen and i have to return to my stable overclock.
Is this overclock unsafe? how come its stable only on the mining program and not in games/almost any other program?
Thanks for any answers
I have coime across this also with my 4 1070s. While mining they are stable with muchg higher OC as then not mining.
The thing you have to take into acount is mining reseting, if you stop mining and start again is usually the time when the OC shows if it is good or bad(not stable). As to why is it stable while mining and not when not mining i cant say technically why is it so, but i would say it has something to do with power draw and the fact that the memory is randomly used and not used (starting, stopping) a lot of time when not mining as i stated before

Bios updated. Still showing red. I tried the other slot but the gpu didn't seem to go like it should so i didn't want to force it
sometimes you have to apply some force, dw you wont break it. It doesnt go liek butter everytime

Hello,
I just built a pc. Now the only problem is that the graphics card (MSI gtx 1070 ti gaming) is not posting (Screen black). My MSI motherboard has that ez debug system. And the red lights on the gpu.
Without the graphics card the pc works fine. So it's most likely the gpu here that's the problem.
It's lights all light on and fans start spinning. I've tried changing the power cable. I downloaded the latest chipset driver. Still not working
Specs:
Evga 650w g2
I5 8600k
16gb ddr4
H100i v2
1tb hdd
250gb ssd
Windows 10 home 64bit
Any suggestions and help is appreciated
And happy christmas

Actually WAY LESS, I bought the first one off of Jet.com combined with a 15% cashback offer (max $100 savings) from an app called Ibotta my sister showed me (it was a limited time special, normally Ibotta is only 1.5% for Jet, then I stacked that with a Jet.com 15% (which maxed at $20) then the 1.5% cashback I get with my credit card and after all that is accounted for I paid $583 for the first one and the second one I actually WON in a giveaway Nvidia was running last month so it cost me nothing and just got here last night.
like I said I plan to switch to Awesome Miner but I first need to earn enough to get Nanopool to payout also a properly configured 1070 isn't horribly behind a 1080ti, whats your hashrate for the 4 1070's on Ethereum?
Well thats the case i am not mining ethereum but on neoscrypt i get 1200 kh/s per card. BTW directly mining to a pool is even more profitable than softwares

I've got my GPU's (now that I received the one I won from Nvidia) mining Ethereum directly with Claymore via Nanopool and my old gaming laptop is running Awesome Miner for it's GPU, I'm thinking I may switch the desktop over to Awesome Miner once I get enough to earn a payout on Nanopool as AwesomeMiner (per my own calculations) appears to be doing better then mining Ethereum directly, but I will have to do further testing and Ethereum is skyrocketing right now so that may shift the balance for which miner I use.
I do plan to resume CPU mining on both machines once Nicehash comes back up because I'm having trouble setting up a decent CPU miner that even comes close to the rates I was earning on CPU with Nicehash, I was doing like a dollar a day on CPU on my desktop with Nicehash but can't get above 40 cents with Awesome Miner and I'm to much of a newb to get things dialed in right so i;ll just use Nicehash CPU once it's back up.
any CPU money is just gravy to cover electrical costs at this point since I'm now earning 10 dollars a day before electric cost with my 75-76 MH/s dual 1080ti setup drawing 352 from the wall at 60% power target and +800 on the memory
You should change coin, you can earn much more with those I got 4x 1070 and they make around 24-25$ per day at 500w.
First NAS build question

I have some old HW lying around and i was wondering if it would be enough to work as a NAS/Plex server?
AMD A10-7890K
Zalman ZM350-FX
MSI A88XI AC V2
16gb ddr3 1666mhz ram
To which i was wondering to add a SATA card, so i can add more drives.
Thoughts?
