I refuse to post my desk unclean, not counting the horrible cable management behind the screens.

If you keep talking about different computer parts and shown them as you build a rig - they will learn trust me!
My mates are all console peasants, however one of them recently asked me to build him a rig as he hates his PS4's graphics..
We might just have a console deserter on our hands...

Cybertism got a reaction from Simmytu in Did you ever had a PC part die on you?
I remember killing my old computer "E-Machine" which my dad bought for the new millennium (2000). I was only 9 and loved playing on PC games like Roller Coaster Tycoon etc.. Anyway i once noticed there was a red switch at the back of the PC case (Voltage changer for the PSU) so i decide to flip the switch and BANG!!!
Long story short, thanks to my neighbour (fixing my errors all the time) i started to learn how to fix computer parts and build systems.

Cybertism reacted to C0LL0SS0S in PS4 and Xbox have raised PC system requirements
While I was reading this aritcle I opened my Case, looked at my 770 and just smiled. Closed the Door, and felt like a child on Christmas

Cybertism got a reaction from Bouvie_11 in You know you're a techie when. . .
When you become a ICT Teacher just because it was your favorite subject at school.
Completing a full tear down of an iphone just to see if the hardware matches the specs.
Having 16gb (4x4gb) DDR3 RAM under your bed.
Owning a Raspberry Pi - telling your self its for educational use only! (Then using it for Streaming games to tv).
Know all the specs of your current computer and previous ones.
Overclocking is standard...
Buying multiple SSD just to Raid 0.
When someone says do you speak any languages? Your reply is always C++, HTML, Python, Basic & Java.
However my great techie moment was in a degree exam for database design and functions - i drew 18 pages of pictures of how to create a fully working database with data validation. However i was marked down for not having a conclusion or any sentences (excluding my name on the cover) I did still achieve 68% which is two marks off a first

Cybertism reacted to TetraSky in How often do you dust your PC?
I try to ignore until it goes away by itself.
It generally doesn't.
I even have a air purifier, but that's still not enough to get rid of dust particles. It does seems to make a difference in how much dust accumulate everywhere when it's ON, though.
