I am going to preorder the HTV Vive on Monday, however I would like to run a Thunderbolt cable from my office into the room next door which has a larger open space, I have found (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00LOAX71O?keywords=thunderbolt%20card&qid=1456595487&ref_=sr_1_2&sr=8-2) which would work perfectly, apart from it appears to only work on older z87 boards. Yet people seem to be using on the x99 deluxe: ( With the help of some kind of adapter, which I cant appear to find a name of or any where I can buy one, I've looked through the mass of cables I have and none seem to fit the connector on my motherboard. Anyone know then name of the adapter or any way I can fix this issue/another card? Thanks!

Yup, its all sorted now the 4U and 3U cases I ordered come with rails that fit with the cabinet, but the 1U server doesn't so I've just bought some basic none sliding ones. Thanks for you help

Im guessing you meant 800mm. And thanks for that I think I'm just going to go with a Nocro cabinet and rails as they are the only ones I can find that sell both cabinets and rails. But on last question, should the chases fit the rails? So if I bought a server from www.broadberry.com it "should" work with Norco rails?

I PMed Linus, he's using Norco rails and cabinet. From what I could gather last night the Dell ones only worked on power edge servers so that through me off. Any way thank you

Its a fresh new build, new OS and SSD etc, so no viruses hopefully. Did a scan with Norton and Avira and they found nothing .

It seems to be nothing more than a driver bug. Its not too big of an issue as its not a faulty card or cooler but its a little annoying.

Ah, typo. It is only the Titan X I was talking about On my 980s its fine at 144hz. Well, I think they will fix it soon.

There is a problem with the latest driver that if you run at 144hz (monitor) your GPU will run at 810mhz at idle not the 135mhz it should be. I was very scared when the 1st out of 2 of my Titan Xs always idled at 60C. Just run at 120Hz in mean time while a driver is released. Hope this helped!

I have found the problem, it is software. I have tired the cards in every possible config, and the main card is always 60C, 0% load. I think there is some kind of bug in the latest driver, as I get a very good score in 3DMark and the temp of both cards is around 80C. If I set my desktop to 1080p not 1440p the temp of the main card goes too 30C.

BTW the cards were spaced out. Okay, just the cold card on its own now and its idling at 50C. Im starting to think its a problem with a driver.

Hi, I just finished my 2 x Titan X build. The bottom GPU is 30C idle, the top one is 60C idle. The airflow to both cards is fine, its just the top card does not cool at all. Anyone know if this is a known problem or any fixes?
