  1. I have the exact same card and tried this method out of curiosity. For some reason I couldn't read the bios through GPU-z 0.8.0, because the driver stopped working and gave me BSOD. But with gpu-z 0.8.2 i could read the BIOS. After that it was really easy and it still works.
  2. Would you recommend the windows 8 storage spaces, or just adding another drive?
  3. I don't have any important files that i need to be backed up, but I just don't want to lose all my movies and tv shows. Sorry about posting in the wrong sub-forum BTW Wow, that's actually pretty nice. The WD Greens are €18,- cheaper in my country, so this made my dilemma even worse
  4. Which HDD would you recommend? I don't really have a budget, but the option with 2 WD reds and a case is just a little over €300,- I'm running a plex server on my pc, so that's not really an option I heard there was some kind of problem with these if you run them 24/7
  5. Hello fellow Techtippers, First of all this is my current setup CPU: Intel core i3 4150 GPU: EVGA Geforce GTX 750ti Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 2x4GB MB: ASRock B85M-ITX Case: Cooler Master elite 110 HDD: Seagate 3,5" 2TB WD 3,5" 640GB WD 2,5" 500GB (OS) This setup is used as a NAS and a gaming machine. My problem is that the 3,5" WD and Seagate are almost full. They are full of movies and tv shows, but I would like to keep them. So I had the idea to buy another HDD. But than I had the idea that I wanted some kind of backup of the tv shows and movies. So I came across the 'storage spaces' in windows 8. Are they any good? So than I thought of buying 2 HDD both 2TB so I could make a pool from these 2 and the seagate one. Or maybe 2 HDD both 3TB and when the Seagate is full I could switch it for a 3TB one, as an example. And which HDD is a good one for this? I thought about the WD Red. But if I buy 2 more HDD than I would need a new case, airflow is not that good in the elite 110. So the next case would be the Fractal Design Node 304 (black ofcourse). So my choices are: 1. Deleting some movies and tv shows 2. Buying one extra HDD for extra storage but no kind of backup 3. Buying two extra HDD's for extra storage and backup 4. Buying two extra HDD's for extra storage and backup + a new case So some feedback is appreciated Thanks in advance PS sorry for the not so good English
  6. So i did this and the results are stunning haha High settings 1920x1080 Min: 44 fps Max: 215 fps Avg: 83 fps CPU1 ~60% CPU2 ~70% GPU 20-60% I have no idea why this is happening but I'm calling this thread solved
  7. I copied TF2 from my laptop to my PC, maybe that's the problem. But I've downloaded TF2 on my laptop because then I could download it from school which has way faster internet speeds. The HDD in my PC is not from this laptop btw. Really? Playing bf3 on intel hd graphics 4400 with these results?
  8. Okay, so i've tried BF3 and I got these results with High preset (no safe mode or anything) Frames, Time (ms), Min, Max, Avg 4163, 60000, 58, 83, 69.383 Min: 58 Max: 83 Avg: 69 (again ) CPU1 temp: 71 C CPU1 load: ~80-85% CPU2 temp: 70 C CPU2 load: ~80-85% GPU temp: 72 C GPU load: 98% So i guess it's not an hardware issue?
  9. I've plugged the pc into an 1920x1080 screen and checked what I got on Low and High settings and these are the results Low Settings Min: 17 fps Max: 60 fps Avg: 36,5 fps CPU1 ~50% CPU2 ~50% GPU Max: 69% Min: 10% Avg: can't tell, lot of spikes High Settings Min: 19 fps Max: 78 fps Avg: 41,7 fps CPU1 55~60% CPU2 55~60% GPU Max 60% Min 12% Avg ~20%
  10. Yes is it, if I run furmark one core of the CPU and the GPU go up to 100% and I don't see anything strange happen. It is a corsair CX430m I will check it in a minute, just out of bed Thanx for the info, quite new here It is a fresh install of windows 8.1, didn't defrag yet Nope, not yet, will try it in a minute It's a fresh install of windows 8.1 and the newest drivers for the gpu, and I don't know if I need any more drivers
  11. Haha, yes I did put the HDMI in the GPU You mean the latest driver for the GPU? I have
  12. The HDD actually is spinning at 7200RPM and I chose the 750ti because I liked the size and the power consumption and it should be able to handle most games i3-4150 3,5 Ghz dual core with hyper threading
  13. If I run furmark the temp of the GPU reaches 72 degrees celsius. I've added a resistor to the fan of the gpu because it made to much noise, but the temps are still good. Cpu stays around 50 - 55 degrees celsius
  14. Hello everybody, I have a new pc with these specs Intel core i3-4150 2x4gb Crucial Ballistic Sport EVGA GTX 750 TI SC I run windows on a laptop HDD After I had fit all the parts in the case it worked perfectly But if I load up a game that's not to demanding (i guess) like Team Fortress 2 it gets laggy I run the pc on a screen that supports 1368x768 and I get these results with everything on high and no AA Min: 23 Max: 72 Avg: 39.6 I don't think these results are supposed to be this low, because there are some people that get higher results as you can see in this youtube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNdN0n2TCAQ this guy has these results on an full hd screen Min: 104 Avg:125 Max:211 I've also tried Bioshock infinite and that worked better, but I also get a lot of lagspikes. Can somebody help me? Thanx in advance Kind Regards Fieldhof PS I've updated all the drivers
