  1. When i was fiddling around I found that the boot setting can be UEFI+LEGACY or UEFI only. Tried both, no luck. I don't think I could have killed it right
  2. Yes. Fun fact is that before I did, the drive did show up in windows and I was able to use it. Now it's no luck whatever i do.
  3. It's Win10 I'm trying to install, did not know poeple still installed win7 to be honest lol Problem is that the M.2 is sitting on my desk as we speak. Also, I don't have space in my case for more 2.5 drives. And my system does not recognize it as we speak. I'm guessing because it's not supported by my mobo. When you talk about a 500GB SATA SSD, you are talking about a M.2/SATA ? Or standard 2.5 drive ?
  4. Hi guys, Today I realized that i'm old and officialy out of touch with PC building. Also that I don't have the patience required to mess with that anymore. I have a gen 4 intel i5 4690k on a MSI Gaming 5 Z97. I wanted to buy myselft a new toy and to install a fresh install of windows on it since my current install starts to act up. So I bought a 960 evo, not knowing the difference between SATA, PCIe and NVMe M.2 drives. I somehow got it to work and show up in windows yesterday, but the windows install would fail, and after updating my BIOS, no luck, not detected at all. I'll throw the link of the specs of my motherboard: https://ca.msi.com/Motherboard/Z97-GAMING-5/Specification# I don't really want to know all the details, the only thing I know is that I want a M.2 drive that I can boot on. I know I will loose the sata 5 and 6 slots but I don't have space for more drives anymore in my case since I already have 4 SSD's cramped up in there. Could you tell me what to buy to have it work with no worries please ? I wan't a 500gb one. 860 evo maybe ? Thank you all.
  5. Yeah I guessed that lol I'll need to do better research on the subject. I suspect she won't know either tho
  6. Well looking at the google image search I'll take a wild guess of Wide angle
  7. As for the price I'll take any tips, her mother migth pitch in and she might as well, so we might have a higher budget on this one. Although I don't know what kind of lenses are better for beginner landscape photography.
  8. Hey guys, First, I don't know sh*t about photography. My gf bough this camera, an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II. I think the lens that came with it is a M. Zuiko 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6, We went 3 weeks in iceland in june and we found out the lens was kind of meh. We do mostly landscape photography, so I guess a better zoom would be a nice upgrade. It's my GF birthday in 2 weeks and I'm planning on buying a new lens for her, although I don't wan't to spend too much (400ish ?). What would be the next best thing to get ? Thanks y'all !
  9. Oh I see, so does a sub 200$ could have such layer of foam ? I feel like i'm sitting on a high school chair.
  10. So no big layer of foam unless you dump a shit ton of money into a chair ?
  11. I'll check ! Oh and btw, i would prefer a high back chair with a head rest
  12. Hey what's up, I have a cheap 50$ chair and recently I started working home since I'm a software developer. I could go 3 or 4 hours in my chair while gaming but now I do 8 hours work + a couple hours of gaming so my ass is in need of something more comfortable/ergonomic. I don't want a gaming chair, since they are costly and I don't want to spend over 200$ on a chair just because it's labeled as "gaming", in fact I would prefer a mid-range office chair. I already know you guys are gonna tell me 200$ is quite cheap but keep in mind it replace a 50$ no name chair from a hardware store. I prefer fabric over leather and I would like a highly cushioned chair to spend quite a lot of time in it. You guys have anything in mind ?
  13. Ok so I bought the 1070 sea hawk x, thank you all for your inputs
  14. Oh I see, well I can deal with a little wine anyway, I just saw the backplate had the dragon logo on it, would be nice with my MSI motherboard, I'm heading toward this one
  15. Yes I was wondering about this also, my R9 280 make a good amount of noise and it's kind of unbearable without my headphones because my PC is on display on my desk alongside my monitors. What about coil whine on these things ? Mine is a real pita for this..
