  1. The Kuhler 1250 is the coolest thing in the giveaway because I like their design of the AIO. I like that the pumps and fans are integrated onto the radiator because, unlike say the h100I from corsair, takes the vibration away from the mobo and the components on it to the case.
  2. I hope a lot more no reference cards come out to have more options and possibly a price drop for next year. Don't get me wrong, the Zotac cards look amazing at this point, but I think other companies like EVGA or ASUS can provide a much better non-reference design with better cooling and better overclocks. not to mentions a better solution with SLI configs so you don't run into trouble with even fitting the cards on the motherboard.
  3. A couple of months ago I bought 2 EVGA 2GB GeForce GTX 660 FTW Edition graphics cards and currently have them in sli config. Not thinking at all about how long ago I built my rig (about 2 years ago) I didn't think about bottlenecks, until now. I ran a 3D Mark benchmark and got horrible FPS and Score on Fire Strike (non extreme). So this is my Rig that i have right now. Intel Core i7 2600k running at 4.4GHz with Hyper-threading enabled cooled by a Corsair H100i ASUS Z77 Sabertooth MOBO The 2GB 660's EVGA Supernova 850w G2 PSU 1 DIMM of G. Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB 1333 So my question, is my RAM and CPU bottlenecking my graphics cards?
  4. What is the Polygon? The amount and speed of RAM I don't think really matters in gaming.
  5. So I ran 3D Mark First Strike and my score was Overall Score- 7868 Graphics Score- 9711 Physics Score- 10909 Graphics test one- 46.7 Graphics test two- 38.5 Physics test- 34.6 Combined test- 12.9 I compared my score to someone else's who's results were Overall Score- 11272 Graphics Score- 14867 Physics Score- 9661 Graphics test one- 71.0 Graphics test two- 59.3 Physics test- 30.7 Combined test- 20.5 We are both running EVGA GTX 660's in SLI of the same mem and clock speed The only difference in hardware between us is Me- i7 2600k(4.4Ghz) 1 Dimm 8GB RAM ASUS Sabertooth Z77 MOBO Other- i7 3770k(3.8Ghz) 2 Dimms 4GB RAM EVGA Z77 FTW MOBO Why is my score and frame rates so low?

  7. Thanks to the amazing community here at linustechtips, i was able to figure out what power supply to get for my rig. Also, I always watch the unboxing videos for all items so I can get a clear picture of how to upgrade my system for futureproofing and the benefit of not spending too much. I found the forum and youtube channel by looking for hardware upgrades and have looked for advice here ever since. My favorite series is the under $100 handy tech. Thanks so much for all that you do and hope to see more tech tips.
  8. What wattage would you suggest for my system then? Intel Core I7 2600k at 4.4GHz 2x gtx 660's sli mode 1 stick 8gb ram (getting a second) Corsair H100i Water Cooling cpu 1x 240mm fan 2x 140mm fans ASUS Sabertooth z77 MOBO 1x ssd 1x hdd
  9. I have a setup with SLI'd gtx 660's which require 24amps on the 12v rail. I am currently looking at the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750 G power supply. It has 4 12v rails with 20amps running all 4. If I only use 2 of the rails, does that mean that they would both use 40amps?
  10. Here are my specs: Intel Core i7 2600k (4.4Ghz) Corsair H100i water cooler 2x EVGA Geforce GTX 660 SLI mode Asus Sabertooth Z77 MoBo Crucial M4 128 gb SSD 5900 rpm 2TB HDD Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850 watt PSU 2x 120MM case fans CD/DVD combo 1 Dimm 8gb Ram I am asking because while playing Metro Last Light with GPUs in SLI mode the computer restarts, and after some researching I found that this may mean either a bad PSU or dying PSU. If you also have other information about game play restarting computers would be much appreciated.
