  1. When I first built my pc with a 4790k I used a Hyper 212 Evo and it was decent enough for its price and did its job for a couple of weeks, when I decided that I want to overclock I got a h105 and it works great when I'm running it at 4.7 - 4.8ghz, without the overclock it runs at 30*C - 40*C at idle and then doesn't go above 70*C when gaming so I would recommend the h105 as long as it can fit in your case, if not then try for the 120mm coolers like h60 and h80
  2. The h60 does work with am3+ and not sure about the ubuntu software as im on windows and never have used ubuntu
  3. I really like my 760 and I would pick it over the 780 as I think it looks better in a way but they are both great cases so it depends on which one you prefer and the rigidity of the case doesn't bother me as I don't bring my pc around and if you wont then the rigidity shouldn't matter. So if I were you I would just look at a list of features that each case has and see which one suits your needs more and then pick the one that you think looks better as you will be the one that has to look at it for the years to come
  4. Why would you spend all that money upgrading your storage on a ps3? first of all ps3 has sata 2 so most of the performance of the ssd is gone right there also why bother on a console that will no longer be supported in about a year or two? Heres a vid and it shows that there is little improvement in most cases and its in a ps4 aswell so... I guess if you really wanted to upgrade then you could go for a 7200rpm hdd but then again the extra heat from a 7200 drive wont be too helpful for the ps3's gpu and cpu so I guess get an ssd if you dont mind wasting so much money instead of waiting 2,5 or 10 seconds longer What you could do instead of buying an ssd for a ps3 is get a ps4 and enjoy the upgraded graphics in most games and support for many more years.
  5. The 750d is more of a case for people who watercool as it has no intakes at the front and unless you are willing to mod it by putting fans on the side panel then go for the 780t as it has good airflow and looks good. I personally use the 760t and I have no problems with it at all, I dont need dust filters at the bottom as I dont have an intake there and my PSU is Fan up so no problems there also the top cover doesnt cause any problems as I just take it off when im using the pc and when im done i pop it back on as it isnt exactly hard and takes a second. Anyway out of those 2 you mentioned go for the 780 as the 750 is not for air cooling Hope this helps
  6. I guess it might affect your game 0.0001 fps due to the cpu sending the signal to the sound card but if you can afford to lose out on all that fps I guess leave it in
  7. Yep 3x8gb is what I was thinking. Also make sure that your OS supports more than 16gb of ram as there was a case of some guy who got 24gb of ram and it recognised it all but said only 16gb was usable, Many many posts and many google searches later it ended up being that he has windows 7 home premium I think so check if ur OS supports it
  8. I have had the EVGA 850w G2 PSU for about 5 months now and it hasn't let me down at all so far. I did a lot of research on the PSU I was going to get as I wanted it to last me a long time and so it would give me room to upgrade to almost whatever I want. Here are the main points for why I got it and why I would recommend it *It has a 10 year warranty *Made by EVGA so it's a trusted brand I guess *Has an optional Eco mode which makes the fan not spin until the PSU gets up to about 40*C or 50*C *When the fan does turn on I cant hear it at all The only problem that you might have with this PSU is the price as it's 118€ so like 100£ I think Anyway hope this helps and if you dont want to spend that much on a PSU check out the 750w (10yr warranty), 600w (3yr warranty) or 500w (3yr warranty) ones from EVGA http://eu.evga.com/products/prodlist.asp?switch=23
  9. If you have the money and cant wait for 4k then I guess get it as there is a slight difference but if you do decide on 4k then most games on ultra will be playing at 20-30 fps so if you don't mind turning the graphics down to medium you should be fine on 4k
  10. Here try this as it should work This is what u will need to buy http://www.amazon.com/Novus-Plastic-Polish-Scratch-Remover/dp/B000J41VDM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1410656037&sr=8-1&keywords=novus+1+2+3 Its only 17$ but it should take care of many more scratches to come
  11. hmm clearly its either something to do with your hyper threading (cpu problem) or your ram when xmp'd does something to the cpu on my pc hyper-thr off turbo off xmp on I get 34-39 idle and 60-76 under load I did it with intel extreme and used real temp I suggest getting the h80i asap and hoping it will improve as it could be a fault with ur stock cooler (hopefully) if the problem persists Rma it as it might be a problem with your cpu Edit: I was thinking that it could be these things that could be causing the problem aswell Your motherboard could have a problem with the voltage control and is making your cpu hot Your cooler has a problem with it, heatsink doesnt apply evenly to the cpu, fan may be spinning at a low rpm or it is your cpu thats damaged
  12. Yea they Have a Black Plastic mesh sleeve on them which makes the wires look good and they dont affect the flexibility of the wires
  13. Having both of the cables connected will give the cpu more power if it needs it so Its worth connecting
