I took an IT course twice. Never finished it both times because I was too busy working on my own projects. My class was busy making a Hello World HTML page, while I was busy managing my own DB structure with 3,000 users during class. Good times!
 
I would suggest taking what you've learned, and applying to to whatever. Be creative, and do things differently from what the teacher instructs. As an example, my grade 6 HTML class was making a Hello World page, so I made a page about my dog with nice headers, footer, and structure.
 
I have worked with Visual Basic, and it's pretty fun. Very easy once you get the hang of it!

The unit itself will product the same amount of noise as an AIO, perform the same, and the quality will most-likely be the same. One of the better CPU/Pump combos in my opinion.

You can also purchase multiple IPs, and rotate them if you have a custom client made. That would cost a fair bit though. 
 
You could also purchase a dedicated proxy for a few bucks instead of setting up a VPN, or setup your own dedicated proxy. (VPN is more fun)

Every VPS IP is dedicated and unshared. Only shared hosting includes a shared IP address.

Yeah, I don't think you'd be able to write that off since it's not just used for school. It's also your primary mode of transportation.
Now, you might be able to write off a portion based on your school only travel. I know you do that for gas/insurance on a company vehicle.
I've wondered how that will work as well, since you can write off the passes but they usually want you to send them in.
 
It's definitely more than just bus passes as far as I understand it.

GDDR5 is vRAM for the graphics card. You need DDR3 RAM, and that's the AM3+ chipset.
 
I would suggest an i3 processor over the 8320 so that you have some upgrade room, and the latest DDR4.

This is true for motherboards older than Z170! A lot more voltage.
