  1. I'm 20, building savings, working, and going to school. It would be silly for me to strain myself just to spend money on moving out. I expect to be independent in less than two years, but it all depends on how much debt I'm willing to take on.
  2. Two speeches, a month's worth of journal entries, a final paper, and two online quizzes within eight hours of when they were all due. That was yesterday...one hell of a long night.
  3. Just picked it up from G2A for $17. Took about an hour to get the code.
  4. I am so excited for this change. I'm sure many people on this forum have tried WoW at some point in their lives and know all too well the gold sellers that spam trade chat. I'm certain this change will cripple the gold sellers pretty substantially.
  5. Hey, either cable companies get the picture and fix it or they die a slow and agonizing death. I and many others are ditching cable for other options.
  6. Just bought an Xbone and this. Pretty good deal imo.
  7. I bought a used 3570k awhile back for a hundred bucks in just the plastic sleeve as well. All you really want to do is look at the pins on the back and make sure there isn't any damage.
  8. So I'm currently sitting on a 3570k and have been for awhile now. I'm sure there are other threads asking whether or not it is a good idea to upgrade to Haswell, but that's not what my intent is today. What I want to know is what you guys think will be a true next step in CPU horsepower. Sure, Haswell's 5-15% gains are of great use to some professionals, but for the majority of gamers like me there are far better places to put your money. Personally, I thought the new consoles would push PC a little harder than they have but that simply isn't the case. Also, despite all the issues that come with smaller processes (quantum tunneling) I can't help but feel that the industry is slowing down even more so than in the past due to corporate greed. So what do you guys think? Will it come down to new, smaller process nodes? Will Zen be the kick that Intel needs to push forward again? Or are we, the niche enthusiast market, simply lacking the influence necessary to get Intel and AMD to think about progress more than profits?
  9. It just isn't a big enough issue to most people to warrant crippling their PC by cutting out a GPU for however long a return would take. I'm satisfied with my 970 but like many others, a little ticked that Nvidia (I think purposely) misled consumers. At 1440p I'm doubtful the lowered ram will cause any tangible issues.
  10. Try as they might, Lizard Squad will never have real power. They are a bunch of misguided children with a broken sense of justice. P.S. The salt is real. Kek.
  11. Some pretty good earbuds on sale at newegg. They were on sale last week but sold out quickly. I hear the street price for this hovers around $150 to $200 so this isn't too bad a deal. The product page can be found here. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=0TH-00A0-00034&cm_re=klipsch_x11-_-0TH-00A0-00034-_-Product
  12. I will gladly buy your perfectly functional 3.5gb 970s at a discount if you seek compensation. Kekerino.
  13. I'm an avid WoW player and encounter people like this all the time. My rig is built primarily around maximizing frames in that game and there simply isn't enough reason to have an i7 or sli/crossfire. Your main goal with MMOs, and WoW in particular, should be to get a beefy CPU and clock the hell out of it. Don't be like my guildie who has an R9 295x2 and an 8350 with terrible single thread performance.
  14. I had a phenom ii 955 before, then I bought a 3570k for $100 on craigslist lol. Luckily I wasn't stabbed or kidnapped but I've been made fun of for not having an i7 and for buying computer parts on craigslist. People are dumb and its best to just ignore them.
  15. According to a new study 100% of people who drink water die.
  16. I use Truwest. Here is a screencap of what I see in their app.
  17. I apologize in advance to anyone who is unable to obtain this deal. This morning I took a look at my banking app to check up on my account and decided to see what kind of cash back offers were available. To my surprise I found a 20% cash back offer for TigerDirect for any purchase up to $600 with the card attached to your account. I've used these deals before, usually 10% cash back at fast food places or movie theaters and they've all worked. This is the first time I've seen a 20% discount with such a high purchase limit. Again, I'm sorry if this doesn't work for everyone but I'd assume TigerDirect made contracts with more than just my bank for this particular offer so it's worth it to at least take a look.
  18. I would edit kill videos for my guild with the unbridled power of a 5820k. This is, of course, after I have told all of my friends about owning a 5820k.
  19. Do not forget phone payment plans which can run up to $25 per phone. I have no confirmation of this but you will likely be forced to purchase a new phone from them if you aren't already on their network or have a phone that functions on their network. This $25 in a family of four amounts to an additional $100, putting the bill at $280.
  20. If the price is right this could be a winner like the 970 was. Also, congratulations on your 69th post.
  21. Just ordered my Gigabyte GTX 970 from Newegg. Its not the G1 edition but hell, I'm just happy I got one in the hour they had stock. I'm upgrading from a GTX 660 so I'm looking forward to the the killer performance boost! Cheers on your order as well!
