Silverwolf_7 got a reaction from Hackentosher in Multicopter Megathread
I have a Turnigy 9x flashed with openTx and an FrSky DJT module. The receiver is a D4R-2 and the antennas look fine as they're protected with heat shrink and zipties. Flight controller is an Omnibus F4 Pro V2. It has an sd card slot so I'll plug one in and see what the black box says if the issue happens again.

UPDATE: I took apart the quad to add a 12v regulator and it turns out one of the antennas had a crease in the active end. Switched it out with one from another frsky reciever and everything seems to be working now. I'm not sure if it was cut through all the way but it seems to have been the source of the issue.

If the relay needs 24v to energize you're better off just using the mosfet. If the relay can be energized with 5v its as simple as connecting one side of the coil to the ground pin on the arduino and the other side to any writable pin. Then just use a digitalwrite() to activate the pin energizing the relay.

Nice find and build but I'm surprised that the FAA lets you use a DIY device for that. They usually like to wrap everything up in red tape.

You can have both manual and automatic control. Just program an arduino to move the servos to a certain configuration depending on either manual input with a button or with a photo sensor for the hanging limp if the lights are turned off.

Silverwolf_7 got a reaction from dalekphalm in Are there any gps with dash cam built in?
I managed to hide my dashcam behind the mirror and tuck the wire under the roof and through the A pillar. As for GPS my phone fits perfectly into the screen for the sound system which I don't really use anyway. If you do test runs with the wires and plan before hand you'll have a much better experience than if you just buy a do all device.

Silverwolf_7 got a reaction from Unimportant in How to check capacitance?
You can't check the values of a component if it is still installed in the circuit. The test signal that the multimeter sends out will find a different way around.

They suck. Expensive considering how cheaply a good pc can be built for these days. I have an Aurora R4 which began to have problems literally a week before the warranty ran out. The fans would run at full speed all the time for no reason it just started one day. Support does absolutely nothing and continued ignoring calls for a week till it ran out. Performance was ok just build your own and save money and trouble.

I like the placement of the tiger in the center and the out of focus background. However the background seems to have a wierd circular and almost paintbrush effect. 8.5/10, would use as wallpaper. Here's my first post here. I have no idea what the settings were but it was taken with a Sony DSC-HX50V in auto mode at the 2015 Indianapolis 500.
