I have been through a B.Eng. and continuing on my M.Sc. right now. First couple of semesters were all about getting the basic knowledge about programming, algorithms, math, databases, UML and stuff like that. Pretty basic stuff and if you pay attention you can get though those courses pretty easily. Third and fourth semester became a little bit more hardcore as we had to learn the internals of computers and program FPGA's make C code and all kinds of low-level stuff. From then on you got to choose courses yourself and come up with a Bachelor Thesis. Even some of my less intelligent peers got through this with some trial and error, so basically it should be possible for anyone with a little bit of brains between his ears to do computer sciences. Just be persistent and disciplined and you should get through it.

4.4GHz using +0.055 offset, Extreme LLC and that is pretty much it. Gets a bit toasty at around 80 degrees C when graphics card is at 100% as well otherwise it is a bit lower at 65 degrees.

They need a lot more power than 2x15 Watt since their SPL is quite low. I would say at least 2x30 to make them play decently. You should be able to find some nice cheap Denon/Marantz/Onkyo receivers which are remote controlled. Maybe go to some yard sales or flea markets and find a nice sturdy old receiver.

Back in the good old Socket A days I was pressuring an Athlon Mobile CPU a bit too much. It was pretty well cooled and the temps were OK, but I think I gave it a bit too much volt, and it said poof. After dismounting the Heat-sink there was a very nice little hole in the die about the size of a pin head. What was previously in the hole was now sitting on the heat sink in stuck to the thermal paste. :D

My parents Socket A computer was still running pretty strong until last year when they decided to get laptops because it was more handy for them. That computer was bought when Barton CPU's were released so sometime in 2003. So it held up very nice and I would assume that it had more life in it, just running a bit slow :P But now that vendors are using solid capacitors and better components I would not think much about how long it will last. I don't think 10 years is unrealistic as long as you don't pressure the components 24/7.

The argon speakers are 14,3 cm wide, so you should be able to fit them in.

Instead of getting the DT770 PRO's take a look at the DT770 PRO LE. They have better sound-stage and lacks the grainy sound of the non-LE's. Actually what would be best for you would be if you could find some stores, where you could get a demo of some products. You ought to have a instrument store nearby where they sell active speakers and headphones. I listened to the M-Audio speakers you mentioned and they are pretty decent, I almost bought them! However I found a pair of cheap AudioEngine A5 speakers which I went with instead, and I am still very satisfied with my purchase. As for the sound card, maybe you should consider a combined DAC/AMP instead with a pre-out for the speakers and a headphone amplifier for your headphones. There are some good ones for a quite reasonable. Such as the Aune T1 or X1 and the Audisnt Hud-mx1 (mx2 is coming soon). Or the O2/ODAC combo, however it does not have a pre-out.

LCD2 on Little Dot MK IV slightly modded with other caps and tubes. HE-500 on Musical Fidelity M1 HPA and on my Audio-gd 10.2. All these were listened to briefly on at a meeting where head-fi enthusiasts meet up and listen to each others equipment. I had the HE-400 on loan for a week, they compared to the others have a unnatural brightness over them, a strange spike in the 14-16 kHz region, which made them unbearable for me to listen to. However if you mod them you can probably get over that.

The OCZ Ram needs 1.65V. Afaik 1155/1156 boards outputs 1.5V default, that is why your computer might not be starting up.

However it is gaining popularity, so expect to see more people using it for applications for Linux. Mono is already quite popular on Android and iOS with Xamarin.Android and Xamarin.iOS, which I use at work. Xamarin also has a version for Mac. So since the three major platforms are covered with C# and .NET it is a good choice to learn it. However starting almost any OOP language or Functional programming language will get you somewhere, the hardest part I believe is sticking to it and keep learning. When you get stuck StackOverflow is a good place to ask specific questions.

I recently switched from a Razer Lachesis to a Roccat Kone+. I can only recommend the Kone as it is more ergonomic, more customizable in form of adding weight and changing colors (has 4 RGB LED points) and the sensor is very precise. I have very large hands as well and I really like how it feels. I use it as a claw/palm hybrid. Maybe something like a R.A.T.7 which is super customizable could also be a good choice, however I have not tried them personally, so can't tell much about them.

I use a Filco Majestouch MINILA with MX Blue switches.

Running Paranoid Android on both my Nexus 4 and Nexus 7. A very nice ROM. I really like the Pie navigation, and a plus is when friends try to use my phone or tablet they don't know how to navigate it X-D Before I changed to PA I ran CyanogenMod which is also a super awesome ROM, I've used that ROM since back when I had a HTC Magic back when the first Android devices emerged.

I haven't heard the LCD 3, however I have very briefly listened to LCD2 and other comparable headphones such as the HiFiMan HE-500 and HE-400. Quite frankly the Audezee's and the HE-500 sound very "dark" compared to other headphones using dynamic drivers. Some other headphones considering in the "worlds best" headphones are the Stax SR-007mk2. Generally the foam on headphones is used to dampen some frequencies and is much depending on how dense the foam is. But usually removing the foam means a change in the upper and lower frequencies.

Mine comes way back from cheesing around on Star Wars Academy servers with a friend. We always choose the most goofy costumes in the game and the most lame weapons trolled people on the servers. Oh good times.

I don't really see anything alarming here. If you still believe that the NB is hot, you need to cool it more.

The temperatures for the NB are OK. 56 degrees C is not alarming. However if you want to bring the temperatures down you kind of only have 2 choices: Apply a better heat-sink and/or generate more airflow around it. As said the top card ought to have higher temperatures as the one below it is restricting the air for the top card. How are your load temperatures?

I have owned a couple of Sennheiser headphones including HD25-1 II, HD555, HD650. All of them are made of plastic, but the good thing about the plastic, which Sennheiser uses is: It is very durable, very light and it is not a crisp type of plastic, so when it is bent it does not shatter like glass. That helps making their headphones very long lasting. The HD25-1 II feel very fragile when holding, but trust me, you can throw them around, drop them om the floor and what not - they will not break! If you manage to break them, everything is replaceable at a reasonable price. However the plastic in the HD800 is a combined compound of Glass Fiber and plastic (Leona) and has special dampening abilities, which other plastics don't. This helps with resonance and ringing in the housing.
