  1. Thanks for that, looks like my plan might actually work without modding. I also got confirmation on the red cables from corsair and the ax1500i so all is sorted
  2. Additions* I should start reading my messages before I post... I'm just too good at making myself look bad
  3. Tri sli gtx880 or tri xfire 390x, 5930k etc etc etc. Yeah I could most likely get away with a 1200 but room for upgrade/editions and the fact that the 1500 is pretty damn efficient even at 1000/1200 load
  4. Hai guys just a couple of quick questions Enthoo Primo- The case supports a 480 rad in the top and bottom as well as a 240 in the front and a 240 in the side. Question is, what am I able to use at the same time without it conflicting with another rad. I'm debating on buying this case for an upcoming build but I'd like to put a 480 in the toppush/pull, 360 monsta in the bottom in push/pull, 240 in the front in pull and a 240 in the side in pull, I don't plan on using the hard drive cages so I can rip them out they won't be a problem. With the ax1500i, I'd like to use thered pro sleeved cables corsair sell but the 1500i isn't listed as compatible but oc3d has a video review on it where he uses them and says they're compatible. Is anyone else able to give me some input on this? Thanks, BBoop
  5. I wouldn't have anything less than a 3x120mm. You could get away with it but your temps will be on the higher side of things underload. I'd probably go for a set up with a 3x120 and a 2x120 though

  8. Well after watching just about every single youtube video on bending acrylic Iv'e decided I'll take the gamble and just buy an extra set of acrylic tubing to mess with until I'm 100% happy with the result. Been doing some research on possible cases and the only one that appeals to me is the 900D, but I don't want it to be 'just another 900D build' so I haven't completely decided on bailing on the 760T yet. The extra rads with the 900D would be nice though. I've been looking at the Pastel Red coolant and it does look appealing so I'll probably end up going with that also. I saw a video from OC3D reviewing the AX1500i PSU and he used the sleeved cables I was thinking about buying but the 1500i still isn't listed in the compatibility list so I'm waiting on a response from corsair for confirmation. Any feedback/suggestions on the monitors/ssds?
  9. Thanks for the feedback, especially on the coolant, I'll research more into acrylic tubing later today to consider it some more. I guess I'm also back to the drawing board on the case since I couldn't fit that into the 760T, it's a shame, I really liked that case The height of my desk is 730mm, so the case would have to be <700mm tall for sufficient flow through the top
  10. -- Sorry if this is a double post, I posted the topic 3hrs ago and it still has 0 views/posts so I'm assuming it bugged out or something Hey guys, I recently got a rather significant pay-rise and I got my tax-return in finally so I figured, why not treat myself to a new toy/project I'm replacing my system: 2700K, 2x GTX 580 SLI, 16gb veng ram in a 800D coupled with dual 27" 1080p monitors (http://puu.sh/b4PqW.png <-- before I added 2nd 580, it's a bit dusty atm from neglect) I'm just not 100% sure on the core components and would like some feedback/potatoes/tips and some answers as I haven't really followed the 'hardware' side of things for the last year or so. What I have so far: Case: Corsair Arctic White 760T <-- I'm not sure what it is about it, but I really like it. Possibly the full window side panel and the way they've implemented the white. CPU: i7 5930k <-- haswell E (Release this week?) GPU: 3x GTX 880 or 3x 390x <-- depending on prices/performance PSU: Corsair AX 1500i <-- combined with the corsair red or white cable sleeve kit if it's compatible (site says it's compatible with ax1200i but doesn't mention ax1500i so I'd need to double check) My initial idea was to pick up 3x ASUS PG278Q ROG/G-Sync monitors but after reading you can't surround them with SLI cards, I'm probably going to go with 3x PB287Q UHD monitors, using only the single middle monitor for demanding games and the outer ones for productivity/surround with lower-req games. Also the portrait ability is rather appealing to me and I might even just leave the 3 in portrait mode depending on how it turns out. Z With the 760T case it only allows a 240 and a 360 radiator, I'd be adding a 240 85/86mm rad at the bottom front of the case in push/pull with Corsair SP120 fans and a 360 45mm rad up the top with the same SP120 fans in push/pull (provided the mobo allows it). Would this be sufficient to cool the CPU and tripple cards? I'm not completely confident with case mods so I'd rather avoid that path if I can. If not, I'd probably have to pick a case that'd support more radiator space. I'd rather not go with a 900D or something of that scale as the case will be under my desk which obviously has a height limit I was thinking about using 4x 256mb Samsung 850 PRO in raid 0 (and how do I avoid the no-TRIM problem or is that old-news?) for OS/programs and my current M3 2TB Samsung USB3 portable harddrives for general storage. In regards to watercooling, I'd like to use Mayhams Aurora 2 Tharsk (red) or the Supernova (white/silver) Mayhems Pastel Red coolant depending on how I decide to set up the black/red/white colouring (any opinions would be nice). I'm thinking red cables, liquid with red or white leds, just not sure if it'd look odd in a white case as I've only ever used black cases in my previous builds. I plan on putting a T/Y splitter before the pump with a tube running off into the cable management side with either a QDC or a plug in it for a drainport, which would be best or does it not really matter? I'm also contemplating on using clear acrylic vs clear 1/2 id, 3/4 od tubing decided to go with acrylic. I'd like to use acrylic because of how it looks but not completely sure I'll be able to get it looking as good as half of the builds I've seen. Is it that fiddly? If I was to go for the acrylic I'd probably get monsoons bending kit to make my bends neater/consistent. Any/all help is greatly appreciated and I'd be more than happy to share the end build and perhaps even the adventure there when I've completed it - going by amd/nvidia it'll probably be a good two or three months though depending on GPU release dates Cheers, BBoop
