Budget 1500-2000 Euro Country: Germany Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MMOS and other games. So a friend of mine are building a new pc and i would like to have some inputs for it. Here is what she is planning on getting. Any feedback on changes or any terrible picks on that list ?

I believe the p8 port always been used for the top power slot on the mb. Also there is not many other options for it hehe

MB is MPG Z690 CARBON WIFI (msi.com) So i got 1 x 8 pin and 1x 6+2 pins going from the 2 ports on the PSU called p8 to the top 2x 8 pin slots on the MB Then the 24 pin on the MB is 1x 24 pin on the MB side then a 20+4 pin on the PSU side going in to the 20 and the 4 pin slots called MB on the PSUS

So i got a new build using a MSI Z690 and a 12900K. First start it boots up gives a red CPU light on the mb and reboots. No display out. I tried the following. Shorted the CmOS pins Checked the cables. (2 x 8 pins are going into the P8 slots on the PSU 24 pins are going into the 20 and 4 pin marked CPU Removed the GPU Tried 1 stick ram or no ram Check the seeting on the cpu (had it figher tight so should be fine. So in my Lian Li o11D i want to use 9 LL Uni Fans and replace the 3 on the corsair AIO. Is this possible ? and if so how do i wire this up. Can i setup the AIO as normal and just not plug any fans into the included corsair controler ? If this is possible what headers do i use. Using a MSI Z690 Carbon MB so i am guessing i plug the Corsair controler into the CPU fan header. Where do i put in the LL controler with the radiator fans and will this work togheter. Bit of a messy question i know and its most likely a silly one but any help and advice be great

Unless we are counting the commodore 128 my first proper PC was a 386/16 and it was indeed inside a case for the most part But i had lots of time with some celeron 300 cpus and at that point my desk looked very much like yours hehe.

One thing you should keep in mind tho when you word your advices is that people are different. My pc might have looked much like yours when i was younger, but at 45 i got the money and stability to pay for extras. That means i wont go broke because by being stupid and paying extra for fancy fans or screens hehe. All i care about is that the system has good performance and as a added bonus looks pretty when it stands on my desk.

Yea i am not to fussed over the cost of the ram, but its gonna be interesting to see how stable its gonna be. Its early day so i am expecting a few hickups. But thats all part of building new stuff i guess

Well i said in my post that its not a ideal time to do DDR5. However i wanted my build to be on the new platform including DDR5 so that means i got to live with the extra 300 USD it cost me

So every 3 year i usally do a new pc build and its about that time again. As i am getting everything i wanted to build with the new MBs and DDR5 even tho its not a ideal time for it (Nor is getting anything else it seems ) So this is the parts i already ordered. Any feedback on it be great as i can cancel and reorder stuff if needed.Especially if there is items that wont fit togheter hehe. I know DDR5 mem is not ideal atm, i know the GPU is overkill but its what was available for a decent price. Case might not be ideal and overused but dam its pretty so i wanted one. Would this be a decent one ? To be placed in a Lian Li o11 D if it mathers.

Any brands you can recomend with 1000W then?

As the header says how much power do i need to stay well within the margins ( I am guessing 1000W or more ? ). And any recomandations for a good PSU ?
