  1. Z270 Extreme Motherboard G.skill 16 gig stick x2 DDR4-3200 Intel I7-7700k EVGA 750W Bronze Power Supply EVGA GeForce Gtx 970 2 1TB HDD My computer broke down several months ago after a being off for a long time. It was failing pre-BIOS. It seemed the power supply wasn't delivering power to the 8-pin CPU connector. I replaced the power supply and then turning it back on lead to a puff of smoke from around the 8-pin connector. After that, I figured the motherboard has stopped supplying power to the cpu. So I replaced the motherboard. The result from that is a pre-BIOS failure to boot. The motherboard flashes on and off indefinitely, but it seemed the CPU was fried. So I replaced the CPU. The motherboard still flashes on and off, and there still seems either to be no power to the 8-pin connector or no activity from the CPU. At this point I'm just confused and frustrated because I have 0 post codes to go on, and 0 parts it could still be. Removing ram does not give a post code, and doesn't change anything. No fans spin and nothing else powers up. Pressing the start button does nothing and shorting the start pins does nothing. Below is a picture and a video. 20180104_002255.mp4
  2. I have four sticks of 4 gigs each. Before bluescreening the used amount comes to around 15 gigs and then crashes. Would a bad stick or two be able to cause the all the ram to malfunction?
  3. closing chrome did not fix the problem.
  4. So far as I know that's just what chrome does. Even having one tab open causes all of that. I'll close the window though and see if it closes them all.
  5. Hey Everyone, A few days ago my computer developed a problem of slowly increasing it's ram use until it gets so high it causes a blue screen of death. As you can see from the pictures below, the current processes don't near equal the amount of RAM being used. I have updated every driver I can think of and used both malwarebytes and tdsskiller(both with options to search for rootkits on) and found nothing so I'm reasonably positive the issue is a memory leak. I'm hoping to find a way to find exactly what the leak is, since what ever it is doesn't show in processes. Starting in safe-mode fixed the problem entirely so it's something that doesn't boot in safe-mode. Safe-mode with networking also doesn't have the problem. Any help would be appreciated, Dresden
  6. I would love to see some reviews about routers! Also, I love all the content on your channels. Funnily enough, I originally didn't like your personality in the videos much at all, but my friend did, and because of the great collection of content, I eventually spent enough time watching your videos that you grew on me. Keep up the good work!
  7. For several days now I have had an issue being able to set up either fowarded ports or a DMZ on my network. I believe it now should be working. Windows firewall is off along with the built-in firewall for the Comcast device. Also, the need for two routers is to have consistent access all across the house. I understand that we could just get a booster or a more powerful modem, but having two is the solution that just ended up happening because of Comcasts new All-In-One piece of junk. The current network set-up looks like this: Which I currently believe should work like this: However, it always fails to connect due to a connection time out on mumble, and servers as well. I've messed with it for several hours every day and just can't figure out the problem. Thank you in advance for any help, and the time spent reading this.
  8. I do plan on recoloring everything, yeah. I know you said plasidip wouldn't be too thick, but the keys only seem to have a few millimeters space between them at their widest point. It seems to me as if plastidip ends up fairly thick if you do more than a few coats, which seems needed.
  9. I have a Razer Ultimate 2013 keyboard which I plan on upgrading to the new Razer Chroma keyboard when it comes out. With the Chroma's ability to change it's color, I'll be able to have purple backlit keys which I think would go much better on a white keyboard than a black one. So to avoid possibly ruining a new keyboard via an improper method or because of a lack of experience I'm going to recolor my current keyboard first. I need a recoloring agent that applies thin(so the keys don't rub against one another), and that won't wear due to normal use. I've been thinking about a white vinyl dye. I would love some input and other ideas!
