    Go into command prompt and type : powercfg -devicequery wake_armed Then go into device manager, right click on those devices, go to the power management tab, then unclick "allow this device to wake the computer" I hope this helps

    Try doing it in command prompt. type del filename or erase filename. [try and copy paste the filename] EDIT: according to @Ryoku's link, it's the exact opposite of a virus.

    Yup. I have Ubuntu on another hdd in case windows 10 glitches badly, but i've never had to use it.

    According to some benchmarks, the 300 series is only ~10% faster than the 200 series.

    That's awkward, they don't need admin privlages. I think it could be a file association problem, which is out of my league.

    Make sure you pushed the Hdd into the connector

    Have you been getting S.M.A.R.T. Disk errors? It could be a hdd problem. Or a virus.

    It should work fine, i've seen people do it with hard drives before.
