  1. I remember reading a book about abigail adams and one of her relatives had breast cancer.
  2. 10-15 years won't happen. Look at computers from 10-15 years ago, Even the highest end ones are outdated. If you want future proofing, get an x99 system with at least 32gb of ram and a extremely high end gpu. Also that ssd is way to small to last that amount of time.
  3. From what I've heard, windows will not do it for you automatically. You will stil have to follow (possibly not all of them) these steps. And the 29th is just the decline to upgrade, I believe.
  4. I thought the 600 series ran hotter than the 900 series
  5. Wait...is that a fanless 680? Why the hell don't we have this with the 900 series.
  6. I would personally reccomend keeping temps below 70c for longevity and have them never come up above 80. If your cpu is compatible, try the hyper 212 evo. I haven't personally used it before, but i've heard very good things about it.
  7. I'm 15 years old, my insurance is gonna be $300/month and i have to pay for it myself. Fun.
  8. There might be 2 pins that you short out or mabye a dedicated button.
  9. No probs, welcome to the forums! You shouldn't be shouted at here. I believe you might have a little of a cpu bottleneck but other than that you should be ok.
  10. I know this probably won't help but try clearing cmos. If that does not work, try taking the parts out and putting them on the motherboard box and testing them. [i think Linus does this in some of his build guides. EDIT: make sure your display is plugged into your gpu.
  11. You should be able to put a shortcut on the desktop or task bar without additional programs
  12. Tru, there is a kid at my school that says he's a software guy. He doesn't know what ms config is, doesn't know what services are, and doesn't know what linux is. He took 2 online courses about html and javascript and now he thinks he knows everything about computers.
  13. I'm Cyrus, a 15 year old kid who lives in a small town in east texas. I work at a local computer repair shop, and so far i have built 2 of my own computers. I also love video editing. Main build [used for gaming and folding on idle]: Specs: Gigabyte G1 gaming 960, i5 4570s, 8gb of ram, 120gb ssd+1 Tb hdd, 500w psu, Gigabyte z97x-sli, and as you can see, a cooler master haf 912 as the case. Secondary build [used for servers, guests, and lan parties]: Specs: Pentium g3258 @3.6ghz, asus z97i-plus, 8gb of ram, a gtx 740 [got it from a friend], some wierd ass thermaltake case with 1 pci slot, 500gb hdd, 220w psu [always runs hot as hell] Setup: 4 monitors, the big one is 1080p, the two beside it are 900p, and the one to the right is 1280x 1024. They are extremely handy for multitasking and editing in premiere. Pics: In the middle is a ghetto steering wheel for racing games [my personal favorite] The keyboard to the left is a k30 and the mouse is a sentinel advance 2 [it's started to rust on the top] The keyboard to the right is a g110 and the mouse is a g700s I use the mic for audio recordings for school projects. If there is anything else you'd like to know about me, feel free to ask!
  14. Try putting the maximum at the recommended amount below, then making the minimum at least 500m less.
  15. A pc Jk, but don't spend money on something over 1080p and 60fps because that's where the consoles max out.
  16. It may be a problem with your page file, try increasing it.
  17. You can just use the cable then, and the latency is unnoticeable.
