  1. Alright I don't think ill mix them but Does this cause any stability or issues with data in the long run? Also will it be alright to run the ECC sticks in my board as it does not support it? Should i try and get a hold of the non ECC sticks?
  2. I am currently building myself a NAS from some spare parts and I was wondering if I could Mix ECC ram with non ECC RAM and could it cause any problems in the long run? So far I put the 4 sticks in the system, it booted into windows 10 which reported 16 GB back and was not showing any signs of errors. In the future I will be using FreeNAS but I need to get the drives first. What i am working with: Kingston 2 x 4gb low profile ddr3: KVR1333D3N9/4GKC Kingston 2 x 4gb ECC ddr3: KVR1333D3E9S/4G gigabyte h77 board: GA-H77M-D3H Intel i5 2400
  3. I was thinking that too but i am able to use devices with both ports (Mouse, keyboard, WiFi dongles, and thumb drives)
  4. Just tried with the settings that you suggested on Rufus but still can not boot from the drive. I will be trying snappy when i can get the tablet to boot again (i may have botched something) Tried SDI and it cant find any drivers "device requires a driver but wasn't found in driver packs"
  5. Finally got back to the tablet problem i just tired running windows 10 64 bit installer and that does not work (app wont run on device) I do not believe that its a problem with the USB formatting (as i have done this my self and as well as using Rufus) I will also be posting pictures of the bios to give people a better idea of what I am dealing with.
  6. I can not use it for 8.1, windows 10 wont let me run it.
  7. Just tried creating a drive with Rufus and still wont boot.
  8. I formatted the USB using the diskpart tool in CMD Then i took an Iso of windows extracted the files and dropped them in to the USB I know for sure that the USB is not the problem as I have used it with at least 20 machines before this tablet. Can not connect to the network because of driver issues and the there is no network boot option in bios
  9. i will try upgrading to 64 bit first. I have not tried with linux because of the usb boot issue This usb has been tested with several computers and they do work. I also tried with a different usb but no success.
  10. This is a weird problem that I am having, so my dad broke his tablet awhile back installing windows 10 on the thing so now the touch screen, the Bluetooth, and the WiFi drivers do not work. I just did a system reset on the thing to see if that would fix it but to no avail. I also tried updating the drivers from many sources but none of them work. From what I can tell the drivers will only work on windows 8.1 but there is a problem, the bios will not let me boot from an external device (it detects the USB but will not load it) Does anyone have any ideas to solve the problems with the drivers or the operating system problem? Tablet: Voyo (A15 i think?) its some Chinese brand Bios: American Megatrends Bios Version 2.16.1242 Drivers & Issues: I2C HID Device -This device is currently waiting on another device or set of devices to start. (Code 51) Dependencies: ACPI\80860F41\1 ACP\INT33FC\3 Broadcom 802.11abgn wireless SDIO ADAPTER -this device cannot start (code 10) operation failed: the requested operation was unsuccessful Bluetooth Radio Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43) Oh and it cant detect the battery. (Its being used but windows just cant see it) Other Info: Windows 10 32 bit 4.00 GB of ram (but only 2.89 being used *will be changed to a x64 if fixed) Intel Atom CPU Z3775 @ 1.46GHz If you need any other info just leave me a message.
  11. Assuming that your using a Wired connection: Isolate Your problem: You if you or a friend has a spare laptop check the download speed there (don't use speed test try DLing something from steam) If you are not getting the 60 to 80 on the Laptop -Check your cables (use a different cable to test and see if that fixes it) If that doesn't work; -Check your router (check if you are throttling your self make sure QOS is not enable on the router and check firewall settings) If you are getting your 60 to 80 on the Laptop go back to your desktop the problem is there. -Reinstall any drivers you have for both your chipset/ and your Network adapter -Check your adapter / swap it (if you are not using the on board adapter that is part of your motherboard then try using that) If you can Isolate the problem and give more details / advice
  12. I am mainly looking for an estimate. What your setup is/was , what tools / devices you used and what you averaged in your situation.
  13. Does anyone know what the latency / ping of a wireless bridge is? The signal will be traveling from the basement to the second floor. (through some walls and a floor) This is more of a test for a friend who can afford a wireless adapter for his computer (but has a spare router) and installing a Cable/ moving the router is not an option.
  14. Does anyone know of any in-depth video tutorials of how to use DirectX 3D (including Libraries to include and the math behind it) . My goal is to draw a sphere with C++ i have the math ready for it but i have no idea how to approach it. Note: Currently I am using the template that comes with visual studio 2015 and I was able to make a pyramid and a Cube.
