xnoobftw reacted to Enderman in Intermittent ethernet disconnects
I would plug another computer in and see if it happens to both computers.
If not, you should reinstall windows.
If it does, replace the router.

Unless you moved something at the time it disconnected, the cable is most likely not the problem.

xnoobftw got a reaction from Jamicah Moon in Best PC Case for Airflow.
Like your GPU fan profile
Something like this
Hmmm can you make something like this so i can have an overall look at your case airflow?
The spec 03 layout image can be found here, use paint to dictate how air travels in your spec 03

I personally have my fan setup like this
I control my fans via speedfan
So my exhaust are off when my GPU isnt that hot (aka idle tempt) and it spins up while under load while my front 2 fans is connected to the PSU so it is running at 100% (i have a sp120 quiet edition at the front bottem and the stock fan in place)
My exhaust are the stock fan and a sp120 high performance
My intake at the top front is a sp120 high perf which is connected to my CPU fan header
So overall my fan profile looks like this
Hopefully my example helps!
And my fan setup ensures that my case is always under positive pressure so to hell with the dust!
(I have 2 silverstone fan filters 140mm installed in the front intakes because the front filters for spec series are rubbish)

Why not get the note 5? I wanted to get the note 7 but seeing as how it was blowing up everywhere i decided to get the note 5 at a much much cheaper price

It seems like sticking to chemical engineering sounds like the ideal choice for me.. guess shiny new pcs are just a tiny part of the computer world.. thanks guys I'll decide to go into chemE
Btw the starting pay of a chemical engineer in my country is 3300SGD whereas a computer engineer is 4000sgd... D:

7-12 years old = primary school
13-16 years old = secondary school
From here we can branch out 3 ways but im only going to emphasise on the way i went
17-19 years old = polytechnic (diploma)
Due to Singapore's law every male has to attend national service(basically military) for 2 years
19-21 years old = national service
22-24/25yeads old = university(degree)

xnoobftw got a reaction from dantayy in SP120 as case fans?
I have my exhaust fans not spin up until my GPU temps are >65c
And when my gpu do the 3 exhaust spins up to 50% speeds (top 2 are SP120 high performance and rear is stockfan)
My intakes are connected to the PSU so they are running 100% 100% of the time (with silverstone 140mm filters) with the stock fan at the top and SP120 quiet edition at the bot
Is that fine?

xnoobftw got a reaction from Herman Mcpootis in Building a PC in Singapore
Trust me single GPU is still the best outcome (sell rx480 buy new gpu is better than crossfiring 2 rx480)
-
xnoobftw got a reaction from mrchow19910319 in Building a PC in Singapore
TBH you shouldnt even be crossfiring anything esp with a budget card like rx480 anyways (trust me ive walked the path of thinking if i shd crossfire and got a 850w PSU for a single GPU xD)
Yes h170 does support crossfire
I heard bad things about bizgram from other shops
But i would still go to PC themes/Bestbargains/Fuwell. These are my recommended shops

xnoobftw reacted to ThomasD in SP120 as case fans?
Those people are ignorant. SP fans still generate good airflow. Their only downside as compared to lower pressure AF type fans is that they tend to be noisier.

This doesn't just apply to AMD, nvidia does have the exact same issues too.

xnoobftw got a reaction from Levent in R9 390 trouble shooting (card not reaching its designated core clock)
Increase power limit to max, make sure your clocks in afterburner are 1100mhz etc
-
xnoobftw reacted to LordGabeNisBae in K or non-K CPUs
The CPU is only rated for it's base clock, anything over that is an overclock and is not guaranteed. The turbo speeds only occur if the CPU is within thermal and power limits otherwise it will downclock itself to meet those limits
And you have to remember that turbo boost works by overclocking lower number of cores not all of them all the time.
so lets say 1 core in the 6700 hits 4.0
2 cores ~3.9
3 cores~3.7
4 cores ~3.6
