  1. // Title says it all. What inspired you guys to start coding? I just started learning Python because I've always been interested in how the software that I use in my everyday life actually works. I really enjoy it so far (:
  2. As others said, I would just try running Windows in safemode because that way when you start up your computer you don't start up any unnecessary shit that could be causing your computer to freeze. If that doesn't work just go install Windows again /: (though I'd highly recommend Linux!)
  3. Don't get a smartwatch... At least not for a few more years. Waste of money at the moment.
  4. So firstly, I do not know much about the Linux OS at all. Basically all I know about Linux is that it has made by a guy named Linus Benedict Torvalds and that it's a hell of a lot beter than Windows. Anyway, I tried about a few distros and I'm currently using ElementaryOS. It's really minimalistic and Mac-like in a way. I was wondering what you guys think the best distro is and if you have any recommendations on which one to use since I'm still quite new to Linux and don't know any commands or anything like that.
  5. In response to a topic made yesterday named "What are some overrated things that aren't actually that good" I made this topic asking what things you think are underrated and maybe deserve more credit! For me, it's Viewsonic monitors. I've been using one for the past 4 years and although it's not the nicest looking, it is still quite good quality and very reliable.
  6. Go for it! Oh, and if this is going to be your first time installing a distro I'd recommend going with Xubuntu
  7. Completely agree mate. Problem is that most software devs just don't want to put in the time to make software Linux compatible when so many more people use Windows.
  8. Not going too deep into details, but in almost all countries pirating stuff is very illegal. Most governments don't really give a shit though. Mostly it's just the TV/movie industries that'll crack down on you. Honestly you shouldn't be too worried about it if you don't do it too much.
  9. Joined today, seems like a pretty nice and active forum so far. Plan on staying awhile (: 9/10
