  1. Budget probably max 150 USD, preferably around 100 USD. I've got a pretty decent amount of games, I'd say 4 TB would be a good size, 2 would work but wouldn't be great in the long term.
  2. Hi All, I'm off to college soon, and will be getting a capable laptop as I am going into engineering (likely a Zephyrus Duo 15 when it comes out). I would like to avoid filling up the internal (and expensive) NVME storage on the laptop with games, so I want to get an external drive for them. A few questions: - Should I consider something "rugged" as I will likely be traveling with the drive a decent amount, or is it sufficient to make some case out of foam? - Hard drive or SSD? SSD is much more expensive, but will I see a major improvement from this as opposed to a hard drive in terms of game performance? - Are there different speeds of external drives? 5400RPM, 7200RPM, etc. - Interface? Is USB 3.0 good enough, or should I be looking for something with USB C 3.2? - How does the interface for an external drive work with various game services? Steam, Battlenet, Riot etc. - Anything else I should know? Thanks for your help! - JM
  3. My school is getting new Chromebooks in the coming year, and I want to use a stylus on the Acer Chromebook R11. What would be the best option for a good, pen-like experience? Thanks in advance.
  4. How much would the drive suffer?
  5. Would I still be able to install programs on it?
  6. So would I be able to reinstall windows on it or not? I have it on a mechanical HDD right now, which isn't very fast.
  7. So I'm looking to get a new SSD, and m.2 is the only thing that'll fit atm. I have an amd fx 8350 with an Asus M5A97 2.0 (not L.E.) and I want to put a PCIe card in with an nvme drive. I'm looking at these. Will they work together with my system? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815256014&cm_re=sst-ecm20-_-15-256-014-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820250084
  8. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can find a Razer Blade Pro 2015? I think it would work best for a project I'm doing, especially with the switchblade. Any trustworthy places to buy it? Thanks Jacob P.S. How do I change my username?
  9. Yeah, that's what a lot of them appear to be. I'll call them up and see if I can get like a test copy to see if I like it.
  10. Hopefully someone knows something about them. I've also looked into sager laptops, they're also good. This one it just an unbranded sager, whaddya think? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAATJ59B5024
  11. So I'm looking to get a good value laptop for AutoCAD and I've stumbled upon this one. https://avell.com/fullrange-g1711-iron I've never heard of the brand, but their prices are competitive, and they've got some nice looking products. Has anyone ever seen this brand before? There are also some youtube videos about them, but they're all in Spanish. They do seem to be pretty decent. If anyone has any suggestions for laptops or anything regarding this company, please inform me. Thanks, Jacob
  12. I don't really have anything big to show yet. My robotics team, which I will be president of next year, was 19th in the state of PA this year, so that's something. Really though, I need money to actually start this project.
  13. I'm going to be doing a robotics project which will be displayed at at least 5 well-attended events per year for the next few years. It involves lots of CADing and building with Tetrix Robotics things.
