  1. So for msi z97 gaming 5 mobo, even though it has 3 pcie 3.0x16 it will run as 2.0x8 for both lane im using sli for? And sorry for the noob question but do all mobo chipset give different extra pcie lane? if so that means as you stated the z170 mobo will not drop the pcie mode to 3.0x8 for my sli setup because it give extra 20 pcie3.0 lane + another 16 pcie lane from the xeon??
  2. Hi guys, i dont exactly understand this. I checked on intel website that the xeon 1231, i7 4960k and i7 6700k support max # of pciE lane up to 16 lanes. So if im using the xeon with msi z97 gaming 5 mobo will it be underperforming if it has more than 1 card?
  3. Im looking for a case that's big too. Im upgrading to zotac amp extreme gtx1080 sli from a gtx560. My friend recommend me to get the fractal r5 but right now im still not sure which casing I should get as the zotac card is pretty huge by itself, let alone sli
  4. Hi guys, does anyone knows if there is a benchmark test software (for both cpu and ram) that works on windows and linux. Most I've looked into only provide for Windows and OS X platform. I want to do comparison benchmark between Windows and Linux

    strafe rgb

Hi guys, looking forward to buy the corsair strafe rgb (mx silent). I checked on their website to compare the actuation force but it doesnt show. Do they use mx red silent or black silent? I tried mx red before and to me it is to light (sometimes accidentally press keys on game).
  7. Ok thanks guys for the information! I'm a little bit scared after knowing cpu hit 80c. Can i know usually at what temp should i stop gaming? Just incase if my xeon hit more than 80c
  8. Hi guys I need a help. I just built a new gaming pc about 2-3 weeks ago. I've notices that when im playing games (witcher 3, far cry 4, etc..) my cpu will soemtimes get until max of 78c. Is this normal for this cpu to run until nearly 80c? Can someone help suggesting an air cooler for my CPU? is the blizzard t2 would be enough?
  9. Went to the shop with the PSU. He tested on his computer and the psu is dead silence, zero problem. Cant swap for a new psu as he said the psu if perfectly fine, instead he changed the fuse of the psu cable to 5A (originally 10A out of the box). The psu still makes the loud noise as before however there is no more buzzing noise. I asked the pc guy he said that normally psu will be loud if there is too much load but when i said im running gtx980 he said it's impossible because v650 can handle it easily. Should i format my Windows ssd? Is there any possibilty that virus causes all this problem?
  10. I've entered all my hardware in the pcpartpicker but I cant find the cooler master v650 PSU. The estimated watt for all my component (except psu) doesnot exceed 400W. I'll change my PSU today. I'll inform if the problem still occur
  11. i've asked my friend and he suggest me to change the psu as it is still under a week so I can change with a new one. but im just wondering if the problem still happens it means there's really something wrong with the internal hardware right? Usually what makes the psu fan to spin hard non-stop? Im really confuse with what im facīng.
  12. No im not overclocking them. I've removed them for a few times since this problem occurs. Do you mind me asking from the picture that i posted is everything seems normal or the volt has a problem on any of my hardware? Also i'll try to check on the pcpartpicker
  13. I believe they are plugged in correctly. Both from wall to my PSU and from PSU to all my hardware.
  14. Hi guys I've posted asking for help in here and reddit last tuesday and from the response that I get from reddit my current problem is most probably because of the PSU. https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/3k5ux0/troubleshooting_warning_5v_088v/ So i just bought a new PSU which is the cooler master v650 80+G. When i install it the warning still shows up (+5V 0.88V) and also the bad news is the v650 is so noisy. When i said noisy, i mean really really noisy, I think the fan is at the highest setting. I decided to uninstall the Asus suite software to disable the annoying pop-up. After i uninstall the warning doesnt show up anymore(as it is indicated by the software). I literally gave up at this point, i wasted lots of times troubleshooting but still couldnt find the problem. And now I have an additional problem with my v650 as it makes a really loud sound and at times i can hear buzzing sound (i think it's coil whine?). Please i really need help guys. Can you guys help me check out the voltage and temperature of my system and tell me is it normal? Im really scared and have no idea why my PSU is really loud.
