It would tell you if the problem actually is the PSU before going out and spending money on a PSU that wont solve anything. If you have the ability to check that it is the PSU before spending money, you should.

PSU you have can be failing in two ways
12v rail no longer providing 12v, and when you pull a load you leave spec causing the crash (this can happen with age and caps failing)
or you are pulling so many watts you are tripping OCP

Thing is, your build should not be doing the later, and if it is you have a short somewhere in the system.
Or its not the PSU at all that is causing the crashes, could be a corrupted ram stick, or motherboard might just have had static discharge is the the right area to cause issues.

Try with the CXM and see if it solves the issues you're having with the G3. If it solves the problem then you know it was a problem with the power supply, then you can choose to either keep using the CXM or buy the G6. If it doesn't solve the problem then you know not to buy the G6.

After all I decided to go with a new bigger cooler, also from Silentium PC Fortis 5. I checked few review and it should do the job.

So for AM4, I personally believe that 3200MHz is more than adequate considering I was running 2400MHz ram with a Ryzen 7 1700 and 3800XT and it was fine.

I actually picked up some 3200MHz DDR4 for a sort of refresh and stop gap upgrade I'm doing to my PC until I can swing a major overhaul and platform change.

My primary question, is there any particular reason for wanting to go with an RTX 4070Ti, I don't personally have any issue against it for slightly higher than 1440p high refresh rate gaming...

Though I'd see how RX 6900XT/6950XTs and 7900XTs compare for the money in your country, unless that's something you already looked into and the 4070Ti was cheaper than the AMD cards?

Overall I think that's a solid plan if you're happy with your B450 board 🙂

handymanshandle reacted to mariushm in Need some tips for using bookshelf speakers on a PC
So if you didn't figure it out already from the answers  above, you need an audio amplifier that can drive 8 ohm impedance speakers (this is pretty common, most do) and some amount of watts... the speakers are "up to" 40 watts,  but you'll find even 5-10w to be more than enough for a room, so no need to look for exactly 40w, or to look for some 500w-1000w audio amplifier.

You got OK recommendations, though keep in mind both have super inflated values for wattage. For example, the Kinter amplifier linked above MAY do 20w per channel, but not with the 12v power supply that comes with it.
The chip used inside is a TPA3118 from TI is a stereo amplifier which can work either as 2 audio channels, or the two audio channels can be converted into a single stronger output (BTL mode).
In this BTL mode, the datasheet shows how much audio power the chip can do with various input voltages and you have a graph for 8 ohm speakers or 4 ohm speakers, here's the 8 ohm graph  - so as you can see, with 12v input voltage, you'd have a bit less than 8 watts in BTL mode. If the device doesn't use 2 audio amplifier chips, one chip  for each channel, then you'd be looking at under 5w per channel with a 12v input power supply.   But like I said, even 5w is plenty for a house room, it's loud enough.

The second link uses a different chip, MA12070  from Infineon, but it's pretty much same story, only it's a quad channel chip, so most likely they configured it in 2 channel btl mode ...  you can see the graphs on page 41 in datasheet : https://www.infineon.com/dgdl/Infineon-MA12070-DS-v01_00-EN.pdf
Again, doesn't matter, even 5w with a 12v power supply is plenty.

They're just passive, relatively low power speakers, so a stereo "mini amplifier" like this should be fine:

Any, identical cpu. The non X can be overclock to reach the X version performance. Get whatever your budget allows and it should be little difference in terms of price anyway.

I think most people trying to save money aren't even going to upgrade soon enough for the chip compatibility to matter. To me, basing a build on upgradability in the future is just another way to "future proof" a system. It's really not useful to consider that metric.

Well it’s been a few months… I don’t think Ford is going to be able to build that Maverick which is fine. Now I’m thinking about possibly seeing what I could swing late this year early next.
I’m thinking either a new Mazda3, a new Corolla, or a new Honda Accord Hybrid EX-L. We’re just going to have to see.
I think a new Camry might be on the horizon seeing as every other Toyota got the radio updated but the Camry didn’t, that’ll be interesting.

Ah yes, of course. App developers not supporting a 7 year old tablet/version of iOS and Apple only providing it with 4 years of support because it kinda sucked even back then with 1GB of RAM is clearly Apple's planned obsolescence at work. 🤦‍♂️

    Happy Gay Month though!
I'm excited I get to do some gay stuff with my boyfriend this year during pride month lol.

For me, I kinda wished it wasn't called "pride", I think often see pride as a self centered and egotistical thing but that's not to say you shouldn't be happy with who you are/what you are and feel comfortable in what ever labels you want to associate yourself with but frankly I sorta think it's putting yourself in a box you don't necessarily need to place yourself in.
I understand wanting to be proud of overcoming adversity when you're not in a very supportive environment but I think there's a couple different types of pride there's a goal or achievement type of pride and there's an egotistical type of pride... a quote I found that's being attributed to a John C. Maxwell suits this well
"There are two kinds of pride, both good and bad. 'Good pride' represents our dignity and self-respect. 'Bad pride' is the deadly sin of superiority that reeks of conceit and arrogance."

Yeah I'm gay but guess what? I don't wear it on my sleeve, I'm content with my attraction to the same sex. I enjoy the relations I have with my same-sex significant other but at least for me I'm very nonchalant about it and try and be vague about it when I talk about it because it's not a big deal to me that it needs to be known that the person I'm with happens to be the same sex as me, the more important thing is that Im with someone and they make me happy. The fact they're also a guy isn't that big of a deal, nor should it be. I can understand to some it's a big deal but again it shouldn't be.
