Plus, it looks like the card will be single slot with the waterblock (of course you will have to install a difference PCI bracket on the card)

asim1999 got a reaction from casbro11 in Tips on how to get hardware sponsors
I know Linus made a video on it but I want to make a guide on how to get them via email. Since NVIDIA sent me a free 980 Ti for a folding project. I will talk you though the process.
First of all, do NOT contact the general/ support emails of companies. They will most likely put down your request or tell you to contact someone else. Contact the marketing and sales team of a company. I for example sent an email directly to the CEO of NVIDIA ( as they do not have a general marketing contact) and 2 weeks later their head of UK marketing contacts me personally saying he can send over a 980 Ti over. Generally speaking do not use live chat if it is for general enquirers, only use it if your emails have not been replied to and kindly request that they send your details to the marketing team and do not spam them with sponsorship requests as it will most likely piss them off. If they do not reply via email, Facebook messenger is another option.
Second of all, if you do not have a big viewerbase like Linus or have not done a sponsored project before tell the companies why your project is interesting and why you are doing it. I for one am doing a folding project to honour a friend who passed away from undiagnosed brain cancer.
Also first contact smaller companies first as they are more likely to accept. Then you can use them as an asset when trying to get bigger companies on board. E.g if I email gigabyte and I can tell them I have Watercooling UK on board. At least then bigger companies have proof and then have less reason to reject you.
Thridly do not make your emails excessively long or short. Try and strike a perfect balance and try and include all the relevant facts. Always keep a kind and professional tone and end with Kind Regards and Thank You so at least then they know you mean business. Always end with ' I will email you with more details when you reply' so you open up more chance so the company has more reason to reply and get to know you and your project better. Even if they reject it will be after several emails rather than one swift rejection which will make you feel less sad and desperate.
Tip 4: if they send you a marketing email, keep it. Even if they say no, try again after a while and after you have more companies are on board. Patience is a virtue
I hope I kept this guide short and concise, and I will add more stuff over time.
Please leave a comment and I will reply ASAP

asim1999 got a reaction from feniks1122 in 3 way SLI- GTX 980 TI for 3D Rendering
Since rendering is different to gaming, scaling will be good. However your PSU is not powerful enough for 3 cards. I would.recommend a 1200W
Also why not wait for the GTX 1080? It will be slightly cheaper than the 980 Ti as well as being better at rendering due to better FP16 and FP64 as well as being better optimised for the new generation of CUDA.
Pascal will be great as a compute card so it will fit well for your needs

I really wish that they don't increase the prices this year as AMD Zen will win when it comes to value. I hope AMD does make a strong comeback if this is the case

Very happy to see this. One of my favourite phone reviewers has moved to my favourite phone review site. PhoneArena won't be the same without him and i think it will most likely decline in views.

asim1999 got a reaction from AIJ in Why do parents get their Kids COD and GTA and stuff like this?
Its always baffled me why parents get their kids games like this. And i am not talking about people 2 or 3 years under the age rating, but kids that are between the ages of 5 and 11. I have seen Xbox Live videos where kids are acting all immature and saying stupid stuff.
I saw on one where this kid was on Battlefield Hardline:
Guy doing commentary saying to annoying kid: Well your fist is the size of my pinkie
Annoying kid: Your fist is the size of my Weiner!
What are your thoughts?
My opinion is that the kid should be mature enough for the material, age doesnt matter, maturity does and most kids between 5 and 11 dont have the maturity
