asim1999 reacted to Master Disaster in PewDiePie fans strike again, GTA V Online hacked and in game notices changed to advertise him
After his fans hacked printers earlier this week they've stuck again...
https://metro.co.uk/2018/12/05/pewdiepie-fans-hack-gta-v-latest-stunt-help-youtube-battle-t-series-8209784/amp/
I find this whole thing childish tbh, literally nobody with any modicum of common sense cares who has the most YT subs, heck even PewDiePie himself doesn't care. I'll be interested when people start getting arrested though.

asim1999 got a reaction from dcgreen2k in What CPU and memory OCs have you managed to get on Ryzen?
You can get used Pascal cards for dirt cheap thanks to the crypto crash.
I got my 1080 Ti Gaming X in like new condition for £495

asim1999 got a reaction from r2724r16 in What CPU and memory OCs have you managed to get on Ryzen?
A lengthy post,thanks for sharing!
regarding the Enermax, do NOT get the first gen TR4 cooler, ONLY get the 2nd gen (the TR4 II) because the pump died or got clogged in my unit. It ran at 70c at stock at load and 50c at idle at stock . It was 28c idle and 58c at load before the pump broke at 4Ghz. Now I have the 2nd gen and it works just as well, if not slightly better. The pump is a different design and apparently they have addressed the pump issues.
Currently have fans at 50% so 1100RPM. almost silent. 26c idle, 35c gaming and 56c in stress tests, all at 4GHz.

asim1999 got a reaction from EnergyEclipse in Is it safe to buy a 6 month old Aorus 1080 Ti was used for mining?
I decided to skip this one and get the MSI Gaming X I mentioned in a previous thread for £495. Seller says this card hasn’t been mined onl is a year old, and will include proof of purchase so I still get 2 years of remaining warranty

asim1999 got a reaction from Nicnac in how to transport rig to uni? is this a good idea?
Yes I do; Plus I get an extra large ‘accessible’ room cos I’m visually impaired. The room is huge. I’ve heard that in certain countries like the US, you have to share rooms which sucks
heres a pic of my room

asim1999 got a reaction from NoxiousOdor in how to transport rig to uni? is this a good idea?
I am thinking about transporting my rig to uni as the workload in my computer science course at uni has increased a lot. I am now doing SQL and web development assignments as well as Java and i dont want to stay in computer lab late at night
I am thinking of removing my graphics card (GTX 980) as i have a got a replacement 980 Ti which i will install when i get there.
I will put monitor in its original box and wrapping, and carry peripherals by hand as they are sturdy.
I am thinking about putting my rig under thick pillows and wrapping it in my duvet from my bed while transporting it in the back of my mum's car (she has a big Volvo XC90 so fitting it in will be a doddle)
Is this a good plan?

like when my dad (hardcore freshie) blamed me for the wifi even though my parents are flipping cheapskates who chose the cheapest broadband on TalkTalk. I had NO say in their chosing for the Wifi
It sucks to be Asian

its like sandy bridge e or ivy bridge e quad cores but without the extra features. Kinda pointless

asim1999 got a reaction from Damascus in Membrane vs Mechanical for typing
true, my left wrist is very stiff from typing on a laptop then a membrane keyboard for the past 7 years.
switching over to mechanical is worth it. i use the brown switch and love it
if you want to type normally, then they provide good tactile feedback
but if you want to game and double tap, they are easier than blues as they are heavier and clickier
best of both worlds imo,
