  1. No I mean adding a point of inflection like what you do when ending a scentence, but he doesn't end a scentence. It just starts to irritate me fairly quickly.
  2. He talks like a voice generator. Intonation is all over the place and makes no sense. It's like it's cobbled together from bits of audio.
  3. Damn, how can you stomach that guy for extended period. His delivery is really annoying. I just watch whatever mice i'm looking for and that's about all I can stand.
  4. This guy talks like a 60's voice generator, but his information is usually good.
  5. They should be labelled "extension cable", so it'd be hard to miss. And yeah, those are not really useful for PWM control.
  6. No that's fine. Noctua fans are really efficient and two fans don't even remotely max out a 1amp fanheader. Circuit-wise there is no difference where you place the splitter.
  7. Ye the mindshare is real, i'm not going to engage this dude any further.
  8. It wasn't, it's clearly saying 1333 right there.
  9. You know exactly what i'm referring to. There is only one objective test, so i'm not sure what "research" you're referring to other than the (now ancient) PCPer test, and didn't I say I had personal experience as well? You're telling this man to shell out $200 extra for a monitor, to have a feature that is also available for free on other models. And any premium panel of those specs will have some quality control done regarding the freesync implementation. You can't expect them to tune $150 panels, they'd eat up all their margin. The same is not true for $500+ panels. It's completely unreasonable for you to assume since those dirt cheap panels have little QC, that goes for ALL freesync panels.
  10. My g-sync panel had flickering and the module died everytime I quit the game. It is not a flawless experience. But thanks for repeating Jensen Huang's talking points, i'm sure he appreciates you still buying it.
  11. Imagine that. Cheap monitors have shitty implementations. The specs he's talking about means it will be a >500 euro panel. A 500+ euro freesync panel will have a decent freesync implementation.
  12. Because tomorrow they will release a driver that makes Nvidia gpu's run freesync panels. Yes that's Nvidia trying to save face for selling you overpriced FPGA's for years that basically do the same as monitor scalers.
  13. You do realise that G-sync is going to be pretty much obsolete tomorrow?
  14. First of all, for the love of god turn on XMP. 1600 is already slow for GTA 5, but having it run 1333 is just bad. Second of all, use MSI afterburner OSD. You could be monitoring the iGPU of the i5.
  15. https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_RTX_2080_Ti_PCI-Express_Scaling/6.html 3%. The 8350 will hurt it a lot more than 3%.
  16. A GTX 1080TI won't be really hurt in performance by even 8x PCI-E3.0. It will be a while before you notice a real difference with PCI-E4.0.
  17. The motherboards now, VRM-wise, will be able to support a 3600X. Buy a 2700X or 2600X and dump in a 3600X when they launch mid-2019. Waiting half a year when you have a nice GPU but a shit CPU seems dumb. You won't get the most out of that GPU for the longest time.
  18. I get the same temperatures on a NH-U9S at moderate fanspeeds. It must be related to the packaging of the chip.
  19. If you're going to build a new system, i'd go with a In Win Chopin. It might seem like an expensive case, but you wont get much cheaper by going case + PSU, and it won't be that form factor either. As for the hardware. Just make sure the board doesn't require an 8pin CPU connector to function. As i think it only comes with a 4pin CPU connector.
  20. So what hardware do you want to put in it, specifically? An In Win CHopin for example is a shuttle case with a 150W power supply built-in. Should be plenty for any office PC hardware. That said, if you already have the 550W power supply, why not use that instead? Don't be under the impression that a 550W power supply uses 550W.
  21. Try flashing the BIOS to the latest version. I think I had to do that as well.
  22. It depends on what interface it has on both the GPU and Monitor. Just try if you can set 144hz in the control panel.
