  1. That PSU seems excessive (850 seems enough), as does the 32GB of RAM for current gaming. And for consumers that don't need the consistency of the PRO ssd's, the 970 evo is probably the better value.
  2. If you attach it to the table, you'll need a shockmount.
  3. Well then you'll def. want to isolate it from the table. So get an arm with the proper size fitting at the end.
  4. My experience with that mic is that it picks up a lot of background noise due to it's design. You're better off getting a decent dynamic type podcast mic. You'll have to be closer to the mic, but it won't pick up your keyboard or your chair squeaking the whole time.

Nintendo! Why can't my female character marry C…

  6. No, it's not. It can occur in various degree, and only if it's truely excessive will shops consider swapping it out.
  7. Are you running them off of a 'single' Dual Link DVI?
  8. You want to make that transition between the point you set your voltage at, and the point below it as smooth as possible. No steep edges in the curve, because it hurts performance. Check my topic on the subject: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/792666-pascal-gpu-boost-30-topic-something-every-pascal-owner-should-look-at/
  9. But your MoBos audio is decent ooga booga
  10. Speaker icon in your system tray. Rightclick it "volume mixer".
  11. Holy shit, fail by HP to set it that high. Apparently they've never heard of memory heuristics.
  12. Asking someone to mess around with their hardware and potentially introducing a new error isn't a basic question.
  13. If it's not seated properly it would not be boosting at max clocks the whole time at 99% GPU load.
  14. Explaining why you can't brute force everything will take more time to explain then i'm willing to spare at the moment. Suffice it to say, it's not your CPU, it's the game.
  15. GPU isn't the only determining factor of performance. I think we're done here, avoid raising the settings highlighted too much, don't assume you can run everything ultra and don't believe people claiming too-good-to-be-true performance on the internet. It probably is.
  16. Yes. Avoid settings that have to do with model/character detail and draw distance. Atleast don't put them over something like "high". Oh c'mon dude. Don't throw spaghetti at the wall.
  17. They don't. Don't believe everything you read on the internet to be true. Boy if I knew this was your frame of reference this topic could've been much shorter.
  18. Ah yes, the infamous people who "run at ultra settings just fine". They don't. The game at ultra probably just sets an near-infinite LOD with no attempts at lowering geometry. Meaning when looking at, as you say, a forest, the drawcalls spike due to the increased vertexes and the API cannot handle this.
  19. Why should you be able to run it at ultra settings?
  20. Meh this is not a chat service. Can you please group a string of actions you undertook into a single post. Anyone stumbling in on this topic has a hard time catching up.
  21. It's not enabled, otherwise it'd be running 4.7 all-core.
  22. Then the drops in frequency could be as a result of the system waiting for a certain calculation long enough that the CPU entered idle-state. Intel chips switch pretty fast in this regard. Turn down the graphics to medium and see if the issue still persists.
