  1. Oh forgot to mention Yes, updated twice actually and still having issues. I know am5 is sketchy with bios firmwares right now
  2. Just put a new pc together and on the first boot it works totally fine, no crashes or erros, temps are good, etc. But if i shutdown or sleep the PC through Windows, it will not power up again after. Case power button and on-board motherboard button do nothing, no lights, no fans (the RGB on the motherbaord stays on though) If I just hit the power switch on the power supply to kill the PC, it boots up everytime without issue. It will also restart with no problem too, just sleep or shutting down it becomes unrecoverable until I reset the CMOS Ive confirmed its not a ground issue, tried a different SSD with a fresh windows install, swapped RAM, had everything unplugged, tried various BIOS settings, swapped the CMOS battery, but nothing fixes it. I've been using the "just hit the power switch" method for a couple weeks but would like to actually properly shut down. Wondering if it's the power supply somehow or just a bad motherboard, maybe some settings or something I can tweak to fix it. Specs: Windows 11 Asus prime x670e Pro WiFi 3080ti 64gbs of trident z ddr5 (listed on the QVL for the board) 7950X3D
  3. that may have been it, just restarted and nothing opened... totally forgot about that setting, thanks!
  4. Recently re-installed windows 10, and now i just can't get fast startup to stop. i have a registry entry to disable it, I have used one of the .bat files to disable it, fast boot is not enabled in BIOS. I don't even have the option to turn on hibernation or fast startup in the power menu either...but every time I start my PC my previously open applications relaunch themselves. Any other ideas? This is really frustrating.
  5. reviews for the 400 dollar mobius are complaining about build quality, low battery life and latency...doesnt seem like a good option... and apparently the only good thing about the 670's is the sound quality, the software, mic, latency and poor connectivity are mentioned in several of the reviews. seems like no one can make a good headset, even for 300+
  6. thats fair, I am open to spending more if its a premium solution that will last.
  7. Pretty much title...I have been using the Logitech G933s since they came out and they have been pretty solid for me so far. I have had a few minor issues and some known issues with them sure, but with the flaky power switch wearing out, my mic is starting to crack when moving the mic-boom, battery life is getting worse, etc...I am ready for a new headset. My requirements are just 1. Be wireless. 2. Support multiple inputs (So i can have separate voice and game audio) But the problem is, the reviews for the top brands out there scare me. Asus and Steel Series crap customer service and RMA support, Corsairs and Logitechs' hit-or-miss build quality and awful software... Does anyone have good recommendations or should I just bite the bullet and go for a big name and pray my experience is on par with my current G933. Open to any suggestions. Edit: removed budget requirement.
  8. im also running dual 1080's and cant get the sli fix to work, still at 20-25 fps on main screen
  9. /chkdsk /f for the c drive
  10. Everytime i start up my pc im greeted with a screen that tells me: "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" Pressing any key will just show the message again. If i shut my pc off and restart, it does it again everytime, however, if i go into my bios menu then start from there it works everytime. My ssd shows up fine in bios under storage, and i never have issues after it boots into windows, but it doesnt show up as a device i can pick in bios, despite it booting fine and working after entering the menu Additional notes: included pictures of screens issue hasnt always happened since i got the m.2 drive issue started either after adding the new HDDS (got 2 4TB drives to replace my old ones, and a 2TB drive that was my external drive before) or after a windows update i think ran chkdsk on the ssd and found nothing ran sfc scannow and had no issues Specs: windows 10 version 1809 WD blue m.2 ssd asrock x99 extreme 6 motherboard w/ latest bios on their site intel 5820k 3 extra HDDS gtx 1080 32 gb drr4 ram
  11. So basically, some friends and I are pulling some money together to buy another friend a new phone to replace his old and dying Samsung S4, since he is disabled and not able to afford to buy his own. I feel like the Huawei Mate SE is a solid option for everything he needs, some gaming, youtube/twitch watching and things like browsing reddit or twitter, etc. My main concern is that the battery is not replaceable, and him being a heavy phone user will degrade the battery at some point, anyone tried getting batteries replaced for Huawei phones in the US? Thanks for the help! -Mayo P.S.
