    1) do a clean install instead of a reset

    2) do not install any drivers unless something is not working. Windows should install everything you need. If you find something like sound or internet isn't working, then go to the motherboard website page and download the specific driver you need there.

I think you mean Enderman. BlueWiszard is the Wiszard with the problem. (Soft chuckle and crying)

I've gone through and done that before. My reset just finished and I'm not installing that disc again.

Thank you both for the advice

So that's why they have been pushing out Windows 10 for free

It has been proven that on last November, even after disabling the 3 tracking pages in Windows 10 setup, the operating system's extensive telemetry (or ‘spying’ as it has been labelled) cannot be stopped. A guy named CheesusCrust on Voat conducted an extensive investigation which found Windows 10 contacts Microsoft and Non-Private IP over 5500 times in 8 hour period. After enabling third party tool DisableWinTracking, the number has been reduced to 2758 times to 30 different IP address in 30 hour period. CheesusCrust tested it on clean install Windows 10 Enterprise which should provide the most control over all version of Windows 10.

In November, Microsoft Corporate Vice President Joe Belfiore argued:

As of now, Microsoft has only been able to reply with, "I’m afraid we are not able to provide a comment on this."

This situation somehow reminds me of Skynet from Terminator. What do you guys think of this so-called "extensive telemetry"?

EDIT1: Feel free to post your opinion here and discuss constructively. I would like this topic stays neutral and the comments are about the upside and the downside of this implementation.

EDIT2: We now have an article from ZDNet challenging this as pointed out by user ManIkWeet,

Last night I got 3 hours of sleep that was of poor quality, because I’ve been a getting average of 4 hours a night the last week.

Today I blacked out for two hours between classes.

Today, I forgot to eat until 5:30 and made pancakes and drank two cherry pepsi’s for my only meal.

Today I was belittled and be raged with a smile as I continued trying to do the right things.

Today my work partner didn’t work, but I did.

Everyone I went to visit to get this stuff off my mind ended up telling me how badly their lives sucked and they couldn’t take it anymore. One because they broke their ps4 by suffocating it ( I spend 4 hours diagnosing the problem and told them they have to buy an internal PSU), and the other because they can’t marry their wonderful girlfriend yet because “it would be tacky”.  (last time I asked someone to just coffee they didn’t come and never explained why when I just mentioned I didn’t see them there out of concern)

Today my Prof. scheduled a meeting with me and gave me a 0 on my paper (15% of my grade) because my opinion didn’t fit perfectly with the colleges opinion on if they are doing a good job.

Today I woke up with an extreme pain my mouth, and also realized my calendar that went missing held all my appointments for the orthodontist and I had missed my last one.

Today my package got lost in the mail (pure rock cooler).

Today I let a friend borrow my vehicle to run an errand in town…it was returned in the wrong parking spot getting me a ticket, and completely trashed inside with garbage. To add to that I had come mere minutes after the ticket was placed needing to use my vehicle.

Today I was shunned by several of my classmates from discussion.

Today my single HDD on my laptop failed, and I needed to replace it.

Today having my HDD fail I lost around 10-20 hours worth of paper writing, all due tomorrow.

Tonight I’m too anxious to sleep and have just recently thrown up because I got that worked up over my day, nearly cried- but my roommate gave me the “omfg, you’re drunk pfft gtfo” look…I don’t even drink.

I don’t even know what to do or where to start picking up the pieces…

Tl;DR: I'd rather get hit by a train, in debt, gonna fail out of college, and I can't even enjoy sleep anymore.

(Oh, and I guess I'm a loser because this was the best legitimate coping mechanism that I had to post to a bunch of strangers on some forum in the middle of the night.)

Considering that neither are $200 or up, no shit sherlock.
And if you want to put things into perspective, the 8320e is regularly $110 at Micro Center. How about that 4690K, huh? $200.

When you are talking about a single core process, yes the i5 wins because it has 2 threads per core, but when you are talking about multi-core workloads the FX series actually wins.

When you're talking about hard number crunching/computing, yeah Intel is going to lead; but AMD/ATI started their company focused on the video game industry and gamers, and those require powerful graphics/video processing. They may not run as cool with a stock cooler, but with the proper setup they work just fine. Both teams have their own pros and cons - there is no "one brand is better than all others in every aspect". I like both brands, it all depends on the application. You're not going to magically convert me to be an Intel/Nvidia fan-boy, so don't waste your time.

I think it won't work. Sure, you may try, but only people that know what F@H is would help. And those people would most likely either donate to F@H directly, or invest in hardware for themselves (which would be the exact same thing as you are doing).

But as an anime hero would say "you won't know util you try it!".

Well, obviously.   There is now no mention at all of there ever having been a windows 10 installed in your system. Microsoft servers do have that info, but it's a mismatch with your system. If you want to go that route, you need to re-install the seven and upgrade from there. What you should have done is clone the old SSD to the new and then re-activate.

Im wondering if anyone knows how to change the spinning circle bit of the windows boot.
I would like to change it into a progress bar similar to vista, and incorporate perhaps a percentage (for example windows is 74% booted)

    Many thanks in advance
