  1. Thanks, looks good.
  2. I'm looking to get a new tv, for the living room. > 50" £1000 - £2000, closer to £1000 the better. It will mainly be used for watching football and movies, so wide viewing angles and good colour is important. Not too worried about the built in speakers, since we have a sound system already. Any help appreciated, figured I'd ask people who'd know more about the subject than myself rather than get preached to by a sales man. If I'm being unrealistic feel free to let me know, as I'm sure you will. Thanks all.
  3. I built my PC a year ago, and blew my budget on a mechanical keyboard, so I've had to use some ghetto Nemesis mouse that feels like the plastic came from milk bottle tops, and has less structural rigidity than my hair after a long shower, i.e. zilcho... So given that, this mouse looks like it would be a superb acquisition. Also, you're right in the video, it would be "FinalMouses".
  4. I'm preparing for the worst, anything above 30 fps is a bonus, a sweet sweet bonus. Then if I'm hitting constant 60s at decent settings I'll just hold off completely. Maybe get another storage drive or something non-pc related (maybe).
  5. 1440p is a must if I'm going to get a new monitor, it's just that if a 770 would make games unplayable I would have held off getting the monitor until I had enough to get a new gpu also. Knowing now that I'll be able to play games means I can stagger my upgrades. If the 770 holds up well enough then I might even be able to hold off long enough to be able to save for a 970 or 980.
  6. Ah cheers guys. I'm willing to take the trade off of <=60 fps if it means I don't have my eyes ripped apart every time I want to use my pc, plus I think the increased resolution will let me have more windows open side by side, super useful for working in 3ds max and writing reports.
  7. Thinking of getting one of these bad boys, but I'm not sure if my 770 will be able to run games at this resolution. I plan to upgrade the gpu once I save enough to make a significant upgrade, but I need a new monitor pretty sharpish, as I'm using a TV at the moment as it's less than ideal when I'm sitting less than half an arms length away... EDIT: I notice that he covered it in the video, saying that the 770 is the minimum for medium settings in games, but I'm still pretty wary about it, any more assurance would be much appreciated.
  8. Spec ops: The line. Great game, low how vibrant it looks.
  9. The K70 seems to run at just over £100. I'll keep looking though because that keyboard looks pretty sweet. Shouldn't really need a number pad. Still worth getting the K70?
  10. The k70 is out of my price range, but whilst looking at the CM storm line I found the K65 is 65 pounds. Is it any good? I only hear good things about corsair.
  11. As soon as possible, parts for my new pc should be arriving on Monday Sweet, I'll take a look.
  12. Looking for a keyboard, uk layout, for coding and gaming. Macro/media keys nice but by no means essential. I'd ideally want to spend around 60 quid, but could go up to 70 if will give a worthwhile improvement. As for aesthetics: completely optional of course, but a minimistic design would be preferred, and would perfer an aluminum looking style (although I realize that getting actual aluminum will be neigh on impossible for the price range).
  13. Ah cheers. I'll probably give it a miss then. My book backlog is bigger than I'd like already.
  14. Any good? Only VN I've played is Katawa Shoujou, freaking loved it, though seems seems less character based and more story.
  15. Hi all. Just stumbled on to this, it doesn't seem to be being advertised too much on steam, probably because of the type of games in the sale aren't exactly what the general customer is looking for. But they might tickle your respective fancies, so incase you missed it: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/japaneseindiefestival
