So I will be building my first custom build hopefully in the coming months. The thing is I have a build that I feel pretty good about but just need some major advice. My current build is: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/deadlyamoeba/saved/ffddnQ .
Mainly I need advice on what motherboard I should get. I will not be overclocking right off the bat but I want to learn how to so I am building my rig to allow for it later down the line.
I am also in need of opinions considering what optical drive is best (I mainly will use it to watch/rip blu-rays, dvds, and cds.
I am also very torn on which OS I should get...and whether or not I should just get the regular versions or the pro versions.
Also what are your thoughts about the PSU I have chosen? I have been advised that more power is better especially down the line when I upgrade components, also what is the difference between modular and regular PSU's.
