  1. I enjoyed the new format. Feels personal, like how old lmg videos felt with their unorganised mess
  2. can we have background music used in the video???? @James
  3. Haha yeah.. just a bit of cheek because of the names. Rip me if linus tech tips were to ever go under, I grew up on these videos (and NCIX tech tips, but Linus is filling that hole)
  4. @LinusTech Will Linus Tech Tips follow suit?
  5. The channel that started Linus' in YouTube is now kinda dead. The last host, Riley Murdock has said there will no longer be any NCIX Netlinked due to all presenters moving on from the NCIX Tech Tips YouTube Channel and faces an unstable future going from one video every weekday to just one (maybe). This comes just days after they announced Netlinked would no longer be a Daily video (Original Name: Netlinked Daily) created by the team. Source Video :
  6. This is a designer laptop. User experience comes first not the ability to peak inside.
  7. THIS IS A GENIUS IDEA. (im not being sarcastic, I believe in this idea as it would create a general sale increase in pro sales for the advanced users while still leaving a whole lot of OEM devices with enough data to work off.)
  8. Whats the point of encoding if the audio is just as bad to begin with?
  9. I am a avid user of Breakaway Audio Enhancer (by Leif Claesson) and was wondering if anyone else does. I use it for everything from gaming to music as it corrects audio to sound perfect, From footsteps in CS:GO to just music and video watching it allows me to hear everything. Love how it just expands the audio spectrum of audio making shitty compressed MP3 files sound like I'm hearing it Live, The base is deep and highs are crisp AF! All my computers use the Core Preset 'The Regulator' as I like a little more base. I just use this instead of buying expensive headsets just use some Logitech G320's. - If you have no idea what I'm talking about here's the link: http://www.claessonedwards.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=1089 http://www.claessonedwards.com/ -- Just reading this back to me it sounds like an AD but I am not endorsed or paid to do this. --
  10. It's 1:10am and I am reading about Jews that like shekels in a Volkswagen thread on a tech forum... I love the internet @LinusTech
  11. Hey LTT forum, Let me tell you my story of how I ended up with a faulty power supply and THREE Broken GPU's to my name. So sit back relax and half way through to to the toilet because your bladder is unpredictable. Ok, Coming up to my 16th birthday my parents decided to be awesome and let me build my own computer. I had already built their computer they now use as an office computer to replace the dying Windows XP desktop they had since 2005. This turned out great as they ended up with a quiet and reliable computer that suited their needs. I want to point this out so people don't think i'm an inexperienced kid who gets to play around with his daddy's credit card. Anyway because I live in New Zealand I ended up with a pretty basic but still beefy computer that could handle my school work and gaming needs. Intel i5-6400 CPU ASRock H110M-DGS MOBO Seagate 1tb HDD Zalman R1 Case AMD Radeon R7 370 GPU and The Faulty as hell: Antec VP500P PSU All for just under $1000. Yes $1000 Dollars. No one said New Zealand was cheap. I mean we live just above Antarctica. Anyway I had done a lot of study on Power Supplies due they connect everything and an Antec PSU sounded like the safest and cheapest good PSU I could buy. After buying and putting together everything problems started occurring instantly. The computer would randomly freeze at idle and when the GPU was put under any kind of load pixels on the screen would freak out. I thought the freezing was linked to a GPU that I must have got to off to Asus RMA (BTW: Who are very responsive and nice) and sent it off through the retailer that I had got it from and continued to use the computer. But to my dismay the freezing was still happening. I had not expected it at any point and neither did the users at Toms Hardware that the Antec PSU was faulty. So i had sent my CPU back for RMA and new one had come back. At the same time a new R7 370 had come back from RMA diagnosing that the old one was in fact faulty. But as soon as i installed the new GPU and drivers the GPU had instantly died. The computer wouldn't boot up with it and no signal would be displayed when connected to other computers plus windows couldn't detect it. The freezing was still happening and I plus others had been lead to the conclusion that the motherboard had been causing all the issues. This began round to of RMA by sending another faulty GPU back to the retailer and also getting an RMA on the Motherboard from another retailer. The motherboard had come back first and the freezing was still happening. I was starting to expect that maybe it was a driver issue causing this. The freezing would occur when doing next to nothing with the computer and only way to fix it was a hard reboot. The GPU had also came back and the retailer had wanted to install it themselves as this was they were getting suspicious. As they were inspecting my power supply I had come to a final conclusion that the problem wasn't in the components but the Power Supply. They had installed the GPU with the old power supply and sent me on my way One Overnight shipping package later my new power supply came: A FSP Group 500W HEXA+. With 5 Million Dollar component warranty. As soon as swapping the power supply the freezing stopped. But the damage to the GPU had been done. The third GPU had been royally raped my GPU leaving it with the symptoms of unable to open World Of Tanks without crashing. Due to this I can not send the GPU back as it was the PSU that had broke it and under Antec's warranty It's not covered and to get the Power Supply fixed I have to send it to the retailer that will then send it to America to be fixed leaving me with basically a more expensive PSU and still a broken $250 Dollar GPU. Therefore I am stuck with 2 paperweights that in total cost around $330. Thanks Antec Please don't be like me or If anyone can help it would be gladly appreciated
  12. I'm not fussy a Kova or Kiro would be nice replacement for my 4 year old optical mouse
  13. Yeah, If I had to choose It would be Asus I would rip off. A local store doesn't have much of a cash barrier compared to as you said "Corporation". This doesn't affect someones paycheck or job it just goes through the RMA like any other card
  14. Yeah I was thinking that too. If I waited it would be 6 months of nothingness
  15. Hey Guys, It's Austin I was wondering since AMD has started shipping the new Polaris GPU's from the foundries should I wait to buy a new GPU. Im looking at the R9 380 / 960 range and would It be better if I waited and got a new GPU thats being shipped this year or waiting and then buying a last gen GPU at a cheap price. *This is for a new computer not an upgrade
  16. Be cool if it had just the matte black and the logo. The one you have now isnt that great tbh
  17. Also btw why are you looking for a way to access your desktop from your laptop, A simple thing when more serious issues are happening. Sort out your life, not try to block these issues that are affecting you and simply saying that you can't because it's too hard. I have seen people worse than you and have come out of this dip in their life. Dayym even I have been there. You just need to do something to change what's wrong One Step At A Time.
