  1. Looking good, and nice case.. :P Are you also on the Danish bazoom forum? The build and your name seems familiar.. :)
  2. That config should do very well in BF4 and I would think it could max it out and still be very playable, as you say you might have to turn down the filters, but that is hard to say for certain. The cooler is good, will do finde, dont expect too big of an OC though. An SSD would be a good way to spend some money in my opinion, pretty much a must for any computer these days.. :)
  3. In my opinion you shouldnt get a new PSU because of the better efficiency, do it because a cheap no name PSU might actually damage your parts because of poor quality. If its a cheap PSU from a good vendor then I would be less worried, though a higher quality PSU would deliver "cleaner" energy to you hardware.
  4. Honestly with a graphics card like that I would go with the PS4. You need a much better GPU then that to justify that CPU too, in my opinion atleast!
  5. If you didnt already have the PSU I would have suggested getting a cheaper one and then getting a 770 if you had the money, but that build looks good! :)
  6. Yahr ok, that makes sense. I really would like a nice alu case for my Ducky, but havent seen those around. MassDrop? another kb forum? I might have to go look there from time to time. :) I have seen quite a few talk about it, but I will probably wait till I have the GH60 and maybe until I have sold one of them off, unless I screw up the soldering completly the first time. I have a cheaper model with a temp control so I think I should be ok on that front! Thanks alot, I might just do that if I run into trouble.. :P
  7. Yahr true, but I still se alot of CM boards there, but they are pretty cheap and they are easy to get access to, so it might be a secondary board for many, I dont know. I really like the sleek look the Ducky G2Pro for example, but I find myself missing the backlighting when it gets darker and I dont want to turn on the lights.. :) Dang, I dont have 4-500usd for a KB anyways.. :P I would really really like to try out the ergodox, but I imagine they are really hard to get!? Is the Phantom similar to the KMAC, same quality and build? Yahr, i think they mention you as one of the people who is going to be doing the assembly GH60 users who wont be doing it themselves. Personally I havent had a soldering iron in my hands for 15 years or something so it will be interesting to see how I do with a DIY kit like that (not the SMD soldering though)
  8. I know you didnt! :) From what I have seen on GH, then no, they are not that popular there. I think it is mostly because GH users are "more advanced" and have already tried some of the more "ordinary" brands like Filco and Ducky, so they want to try something more advanced. Though I see quite a few people with Filco and CM boards even on GH.. :) I guess the KMAC doesnt come in ISO layout as well, or maybe they do, its just a matter of a little change to the plate, right? I cant wait for my GH60s to arrive though. :P Btw, haven't I seen you on GH or Deskthority ?
  9. I think it might have something to do with it. I initially looked at Filco but heard slick talking about them all the times so I wanted to check them out and I dont regret it, I like my G2Pro, though I want a shine 3 TKL.. I love my blues, but Im looking forward to a green and white board too! I know very little about the KMAC, but I know they are expensive! Where can you buy them though?
  10. Haha they are really expensive yes. But then again you have a caselabs case.. :P hehe
  11. Wont you be running any form of fan control, or can you hook that up to the x-station ?
  12. "intergrated Heat spreader" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integrated_heat_spreader
  13. From what I know it just means that the metal shield covering the CPU cores themselves will be soldered on, instead of being glued and and with thermal paste between the metal shield and the cores themselves. The "ordinary consumer" cpu's (e.i the 4770k) all have the shield glued on while the 3930k and the rest of the LGA2011 cpus have them soldered on, this gives better heat transfer from cpu to heatsink.. At least that is how I have understood it.. :)
  14. I would say it is worth is.. But you should make another thread in the apropriate forum.. :)
  15. I will be watercooling and might get the xspc backplate, just wouldnt mind saving a little and might be able to make some nice lighting effects with an acrylic backplate.. :) I have been thinking about using the standard screws actually, but dont know if they are long enough, could take them off and have a look though.
  16. they probably used the wrong tubing, with a thinner wall then they should have.. :P
  17. The tubing was really stuck in there googd with my monsoon fittings that for sure! :)
  18. you need this pump if I'm not mistaken: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-103-EK&emcs0=2&emcs1=Produktdetailseite&emcs2=WC-340-EK&emcs3=WC-103-EK and the tubing and fittings are good! I used those fittings and I liked them, dont have anything to compare them to though, since that was my first wc project..
  19. Hey! simple question: Anyone know if its possible to get some longer screws so I can make a 780 backplate myself? I am thinking I just need the 4 screws for around the GPU itself :) And just to be safe, anyone know if the acrylic will melt, from what I know cards dont get hot on the back, but im a little worrid about right behind the GPU itself?
  20. I havent built anything smaller than mATX, so I dont have personal experience. But from what I know the only real disadvantages for mITX is less connections on the motherboard, fx fans and sometimes I believe USB and sata is limited also. :) So if you would like a small build with good power and dont want to go for multi gpu, then the small formfactor is a good choice! :)
  21. I haven't heard about the problems with the pump to be honest I haven't actually read that much about it. Though im fairly certain that the pump is powerfull enough for quite a big loop. As far as I know you dont actually need a res if you expand the system, it would be a pain in the behind to fill it without a res though.
  22. Unless I'm not updated right now I think you mean the Samsung 840 right? if that is what you meant, that is a good choice indeed! The pro and non-pro versions are both good, in my opinion the non-pro is good enough for OS and programs because you wont really need the extra write speeds of the pro version. one thing to note though is that the PRO version uses som flash that generally has a longer lifetime.. :) Hmm, yahr ok. I thought the prices in aus was kinda what we have in Denmark, but it looks like its a little more expensive down there, not much though..
  23. Yes.. havent read all the thread, but have you considered the new swiftech AiO solution, you can start with that, cool the cpu and then add more and more as you get more money for it.. :)
  24. For older games, that machine is pretty overkill, of course that depends on if cs 1.6 is an older game in your eyes or you mean crysis 3 as older game.. :P yay for typos, that is some seriuosly fast RAM.. :O
