  1. with a setup like that I cant see any reason not to have 2 D5's.. I dont like to dual loops though, dont understand why anyone would do that.. :(
  2. Another popular one is Aquacompoter's Aquaero 5, Alphacool one, its the Heatmaster II - I think they are easier to setup, though the Aquaero has so many accesories that it ca be a bit confusing, or maybe thats just me.. :P
  3. Adobe will be going from Cuda to OpenGL (which the AMD cards uses) acceleration, which means the AMD card just gor alot more interresting for things other than gaming I think. Though I dont know when Adobe will be switching (I actually dont know if they are swithing or they are going to be supporting both cuda and OpenGL..?), maybe it will be in CS7, idk.
  4. What ressolution and detail are you running at? EDIT: what Scia said, my first thought was some bad vram on that card.. you are not using the card for mining in the background or something either are you?
  5. Yes they are making black fans (NF-F12 if I remember correctly) but they where actually for industry use and are going to cost 30$ from what I know. Their site is noctua.at though.. :)
  6. In Denmark Komplett is not the cheapest one either, its really popular anyways though..
  7. Bitspower for tuberes' and Monsoon or XSPC for bayres.. But this might just be my personal opinion or what I have seen the most of. Ek also has some really good and nice looking res/pump top combos, they are probably cheaper than Bitspower too.. :)
  8. Ahh, havent actually heard that one before to be honest, just as long as you buy quality coolant like fx Mayhems dye, then it would be ok from what I know! :) (just dont get his aurora coolant) their basic function and shape is usually the same yes, but in my opinion it makes a pretty big difference from cheap EK fittings to Bitspower or Monsoon fittings. (I dont remember what the EK fittings looks like, it was just an example because Im pretty sure they have some cheep fittings)
  9. As MegaDave91 said, when you dye plastic for example the color penetrates into the material without adding an extra layer, when you paint, you add extra weight and mass, to the blades in this case.. :)
  10. If you paint the blades it wont perform as well and/or it wont be as silent. dyeing the blades would be a better idea if you can get the baldes off, then some Rit dey will probably do the job.. :)
  11. Looks good in my opinion. If he has the money he might consider the 3930k if he does alot of rendering.
  12. You should probably just ask the guy making that case directly, go on his site and contact him, he is really nice from what I have experienced. But with fittings and hose on the radiators I dont think it would work, maybe one in the top and one in the back. I must admit though, I dont really get that card..
  13. take a look at this for the fans: http://www.ncix.com/search/?categoryid=0&q=fan+splitter and that PSU is more than enough to power that PC.. :) EDIT: the Swiftech has room for 8 fans, even PWM if you want that, then you can control them from the motherboard maybe.. :)
  14. It depends on what you are looking at, but alot of combos are good, both bayres' and tuberes combos are good in my opinion. And there are loads to chose from! :)
  15. First off, what do you mean by "do not use coolant" ? It sounds to me like you would like a nice looking loop, and I would imagine that the fittings and tubing comming with a kit like that is not something you would write home about, but I dont know much about kits so dont quote me on that! :) My point is, if you have to get other fittings and tubing, then it might be cheaper to just get it all seperate from the start? I dont know about the FPI of the AX series, but from what I can find the FPI is higher than 8.. so probably between 15-20 fpi is my guess, but that is all it is - a guess! And the performance doesnt really change, but you need more pressure or faster spinning fans for higher fpi rads. A D5 is in my opinion the only way to go, its little brother is also good, but I like my D5 thats for sure! And the reservoir is up to you what you like the best :)
  16. The layout should be pretty much the same, so yes. according to the EK cooling configurator it should also work fine with the same blocks as the reference 680 :)
  17. Yes I believe you will, atleast if the remove all the drive cages! (I'm assuming you are talking about a 240mm rad?) you will be able to though in a 80mm thick rad with push/pull in the front of that case I think, by then it would be about out to where the 5.25" bays are (that is with a 80mm rad + 2x25mm fans) http://www.overclock.net/content/type/61/id/1249595/width/500/height/1000/flags/LL
  18. Personally I would go for the 350D. eventhough I really like fractal and their cases I just think the 350D looks amazing, and a silencing kit is not that expansive to get, so you could just add some silencing foam-things and it would be closer to the R4 in that aspect. On the other hand though, the R4 is in my opinion one of the smaller ATX cases, so its really not a bad choice either. But given you already have the mATX board, I would go for the 350D! :)
  19. Its not a bad deal at all I think, depending on where you are from ofcourse, and since im from europe I cant quite relate to the prices in the US for example.. But from what I know all those parts are pretty expensive, especially that case. If it all works and looks good, then I would probably go for that! :)
  20. Bayres' are out of the way and with a D5 pump you wont need more power and they are really reliable! they come at a kinda high price, but you get what you pay for in my opinion! Then there are the cylinder/pump combos, alot of different companies makes these, with them the pump pretty much only sticks out about 1.5" maybe (?) not more than 2" thats for sure! But with a dual bayres you have it all there too. If you dont really know what im talking about, paste in a link to your favorite watercooling store and I will give you a few examples of both.. you have to be quick though, going to bed soon.. :D
  21. you dont have to cool a motherboard at all, atleast not the Z87 motherboards! If you just have a few fans spinning at low setting in the top compartment together with the motherboard and the rest of the hardware you motherboard will be more than fine! I had a Z77 Sabertooth without any of the fans installed on the motherboard (that board comes with 2 small fans that can be put on/in the motherboard for active cooling) and the case fans was all on rads, and the hottest the motherboard got was around 43 degrees celcius. So it really should not be a problem although the air passes through the radiators first.! Motherboard watercooling is mostly for show-off, but when OC'ing really high, I reckon it could become handy and be more "healthy" for the motherboard.
  22. I dont know about this either. Nokia is in my opinion pretty iconic in the cellphone industry. I dont know about other countries, but in Denmark pretty much everyone born before about '93 knows the Nokia 3310, that phone just could not be broken..! But since the smartphones got popular it seems Nokia has really strugled keeping up with other companies. And the last thing.. I really did not know Huawai was ANYWHERE close to big and wealthy ebough to even buy 10% of Nokia..! :O :O
  23. It probably is yes. The ACS cooler looks quite similar to the one on the GTX 770 and 780, if thats the case, it should be really good! :)
  24. I like the guy sort of, sometimes I just know how bias he really is, and the fact that he likes apple that much makes me uncomfortable, that is probably stupid, but still cant shake the feeling. Also the fact that quite a few of his unboxings, are of products which just doesnt interest me.
  25. Alot of youtube, movie, series, reading about tech and a little science here and there. Was using Photoshop a few years and learnt alot, but got tired of it, started up again a few months back, but didnt really have the time and then took apart that computer. Probably going to install it again soon on my new copmuter :) This is my latest work in PS:
