  1. Yes there is a frame when you remove the wrist rest. It is the one thing I don't like but I ordered it today anyways. :-) I've tried all the other RGB keyboards and although Corsairs is probably the most flexible it is also the most broken, software wise. The software is barely alpha quality and IMO it will take them a year to finish and polish it up. So I went with this. If corsair had finished the thing before release I'd have one now but they screwed the pooch and I and many others have moved on. I have not received a shipping notice yet but I have heard other US customers say theirs is on the way so it is shipping but only from Logitech.
  2. I would assume that all the switches would have had the same problem. However I doubt it was the switches that caused a delay since they would have been manufactured long before they start putting together keyboards on the assemble line. My guess is they found a problem with assembling them or the software wasn't ready. However if it was the software they could have carried on with productions so this seems less likely, IMO, to cause a delay across all the different switch types. But who the heck knows since corsair isn't talking. That and the fact they have not released a single keyboard to a tech site for "hands on" previews gives me cause for concern. When you see this type of release with a game it usually turns out to be bad. I guess we will see soon.
  3. yes that is the way it is everywhere , or at least it was. Which is why when you went 3 blocks to the distribution warehouse you paid taxes and I'll bet any mail order business that is in your state also will bill you for tax online or otherwise.
  4. When was the last time you bought something from them? They just started to add it to FL sales recently (like in the past few months) and we don't have State income tax. Are you in FL? If so they will tax you now.
  5. Yes they have started to add tax so Newegg is now cheaper, if they have the same price. However they have ALWAYS collected tax if they are in the same state as the buyer, so if you bought it 3 blocks from your house you would or should have always been taxed. It has nothing to do with being a distribution center it has to do where they do business. Technically you are supposed to pay the tax to your state anyway but of course no one does, which is why they are starting to force big mail order places to collect the tax for the states they send products to. I would imagine that NewEgg will be forced to do it at some point also.
  6. That's what I'm saying EVERY Key has macro capabilities but without qualifier keys they would be fairly useless IMO
  7. every key is programmable. I wonder if you can use qualifier like SHT+(some key) ?
  8. Whats the big deal about BestBuy? It cost the same as New Egg or Amazon will sell it for and you can just go pick one up unless you don't have a BB near, in which case you can order it from their site.. Also if it turns out 15 LED's die in the first week or you can just return it no fuss, no repacking it and shipping it. Just don't let them sell you the extended warranty
  9. I get the feeling there are talking about the old LEDS vs these new ones, not something with the RGB LEDs
  10. We're not speculating about the new line we're speculating what if anything will happen with the old. This product, RGB, has a premium price point for a keyboard and it would make sense to keep, the non RGB, as a cheaper yet still high quality option. Older models don't automatically get discontinued due to a new similar product. I haven't heard anything talk about the old line being discontinued, have you?
  11. Not sure why they need to move out old stock,it seems like this product fits a different price point. I have seen some discounting but nothing like those you see when a product is being discontinued.
  12. Yeah Maybe. lol Either way it has nothing to do with waiting to see if these "Maybe's" happened or didn't happen.
  13. Yep the fact that their own, new, demo version has dead LED's and now a delay for some unknown reason makes me think it'd be best to wait a month or two and see how it shakes out. By then there may even be some compitention and better pricies also.
  14. I would guess everything gets pushed back. But who knows?
  15. It says right on that page Release Date: 09/08/2014
  16. BINGO Its called Marketing BS. They knew they had a problem with the blues but never admitted it, but now they say they have a better LED to fix the ones they didn't have a problem with to start with :-)
  17. Why delay an already annouced product just to annouce it again 2 weeks late?
  18. How do you know this? Has there been a statment from corsair ? It could be the new switches and LED are having a QA issue. It could be a manufacturing problem, it could be any number of things or a combination of things. So unless you have some info we don't have how can you say the problem is with corsair?
