Google Is Gifting Stadia Pro To Some YouTube Premium Subscribers
Shadow Bullet replied to d-kressjr's topic in Tech News
I got the offer as well, but will not use it as Stadia is hot garbage and having to buy the games to use on that platform only is even worse. -
Sonos Suing Google For Patent Infringment
Shadow Bullet replied to ThePointblank's topic in Tech News
Someone needs to take Sonos down a few pegs, they are way too expensive, I would go for them, except for the fact that a Sonos Port is $450 (and I would need AT LEAST 3) and a speaker is $179, Basically, I am getting 50% LESS for more than 50% MORE. Ludicrous company pricing and shitty company ways with the speaker bricking and now this? Sit the hell down Sonos and shut up. -
10th gen i9 test results show disappointing performance
Shadow Bullet replied to Fasauceome's topic in Tech News
This only makes me more excited for Ryzen 4000, planning my new PC on that since Intel cannot make a decent CPU it seems. Ryzen 3000 killed Intel, Ryzen 4000 will bury Intel. 4 years ago I would have never thought I would be saying that I am excited to go to AMD because of the lackluster pitiful effort that has been made by Intel. Ryzen 4900X can't come quickly enough! And maybe some new 3000 series GPU's while we are wishing for things. -
So let's get this straight, let's assume Intel charges $600 (or more?) for this CPU, the Ryzen 9 3900X is 12 cores for only $499, so Intel is giving you less for more... And for another $150 you can go with a 3950X and get 6 ADDITIONAL cores, just give up already Intel, it's pathetic at this point. Going to try and wait for Zen 3 for my new build.

Ring Doorbells used? HTTP to pass credentials unencrypted
Shadow Bullet replied to WillyW's topic in Tech News
Yes, I am serious, it is coming at some point as we have seen it in Protect marketing images and the Ubiquiti Devs have very very slightly hinted at it before, but not much has been heard about it. It is however supposed to have a tiny LCD screen to display text however. -
Ring Doorbells used? HTTP to pass credentials unencrypted
Shadow Bullet replied to WillyW's topic in Tech News
I can't wait to rump my Ring doorbell, I am just waiting on the Ubiquiti G4 Doorbell to go to the Early Access store so I can pick it up and have it integrated within Protect. Hopefully any day now... -
Been with PIA since the start, and it's going to stay that way...

The company Stringify has come out and said that their Stringify service will be shutting down. They are removing the app from App Stores today and the service will operate up until June. They said that their While I personally did not use Stringify that much, I had a very limited use for their app that integrated with IFTTT, so I am not very affected by this. However it is sad to see a rather large player in the home automation space shut down. You can find the attached email that they sent out to their users down below. Also, I have no idea why it is addressed to "Shut Down" in the email, not what I put for my Username for the service, but maybe it was to indicate that they are shutting down? Who knows.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for a Powerplay variant of the G502

I have a 2 TB HDD in my PC as a storage drive for games, I am wondering should I get another 2 TB drive and put them in RAID 0 or should I get a 4 TB HDD? Data loss is not a factor as this volume is only for game storage.

I was just reading this more in depth, your totally right and the username "Not_11" is just funny, NVIDIA knows that we all know, and they are totally playing wiht us

From the NVIDIA GeForce YouTube Channel, #BeForTheGame. Here we can see NVIDIA hyping up this new consumer release, and at one point during the video we can see a user logon with the username "RayTex" which I assume indicates the new cards will have RayTracing just like the Quadro cards just announced minutes ago. Please note this is different than the Quadro announcement and therefore is not a duplicate thread, as this came out moments ago after the conference ended. In the description of the video we can see So it would seem as though all of the rumors were correct about GamesCom on August 20th. New GPU's here we come! What do you guys think are you excited to finally see some new GPU's? EDIT: For the "RayTex" I see now that it says "Roy Tex", however I still believe this is eluding to RayTracing. LINK:

Well at least I know my network is safer than most people, given I have pfSense as my home firewall/router. And I disallow any DNS rebinding attacks.
-
I’m just sitting here with my pfsense router knowing that I’m safe, and that’s great. Edit: Shit, I have a nanostation M2 feeding my pfsense router as a second WAN (siphoning my neighbor’s Wi-Fi signal should our fiber ever get cut) it’s still on pfsense so I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t allow anything through, plus I have it as a separate WAN. Still gonna restart it just in case, but at least it’s only my backup WAN connection not my main router.

Razer's Lancehead mouse claims to outperform every other wireless mouse
Shadow Bullet replied to EunSoo's topic in Tech News
Not gonna get it because it has to charge with a cable, the mamba had a really nice dock, but I didn't get it for the same reason I am not getting this one, they have a laser sensor. Come on Razer, optical is better than laser, they even made it the exact same optical sensor in the DeathAdder Elite, I love that mouse (my current mouse actually) But until it comes with a dock and optical sensor, count me out. -
I bought a 1080, going to sell it to grab a 1080 Ti

Well the time is here folks! 1080 Ti hype train! This was tweeted out by the NVIDIA GeForce Twitter Link: If you watch slowly you can see the "Ti" in Time is faded last, also the link in the tweet which leads to http://www.geforce.com/ has a countdown with the "Ti" in Time clearly bolded. The hype train is here and I am well aboard and ready to some some 1080 Ti goodness! What about you guys, are you going to pick up a 1080 Ti?

The Shield Tablet K1 is getting Android 7.0, NVIDIA said it themselves, it would be "in a few weeks" Source: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/988332/shield-tablet/will-shield-tablet-receive-android-nougat-update-/1/ "Yes Android N is coming to the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet and NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1." from ManuelGuzman

Okay thanks, I was just seeing if maybe I could use them to make it look better but I guess your right. I'll just hook right in.

I do not know much about Vlan's, however if my knowledge is sufficient it is just different ports on a switch that are isolated. (I know you need a switch to support it) My question is whether or not this diagram will be sufficient and will it work? Also, will I get full speed through all of the Vlan's? Should I ever get gigabit fiber (500 is the most right now, I have 150) will this also be able to support it? The smaller switch would be Vlan capable while the big switch is not (I already have it in use)

Would love a single slot version of this
