So I’ve been putting off a full system upgrade (for a very long time) because I haven’t seen a compelling reason to go to a new CPU platform. I do a lot of CAD work and sometimes I plug my system into a 4K tv but I’d like to try out this new ray tracing stuff. My questions are does PCIE 3.0 vs 4.0 really have a big hit on performance if I go to a new RTX 3070? Is my CPU single core performance going to be a huge bottle neck? current specs: i7 3930k @5.2ghz ASUS Rampage IV EXTREME mobo 16gb 2133mhz memory ASUS strix GTX 1080

I like the IPS display. No matter what the contrast ratio is. My eyes don't fatigue quite as fast on an IPS screen.
