  1. You are right. I will be holding off on buying my watercooling loop stuff till Zen 2 is announced. Since rumors are putting the higher end stuff at sub $600 pricing.
  2. Haha I honestly just bought it since I was comfortable with Intel and the 9700k was back ordered to hell at launch and my local Microcenter had a bunch of 8086ks.
  3. Gotcha. Will wait till Computex and see if I am gonna wait to buy my water cooling stuff in favor of making the switch to AMD.
  4. I guess the concerns around hyperthreading being vulnerable made me wonder if getting a 9700k would be worth the ordeal of listing the 8086k on eBay etc etc
  5. I meant Z390 sorry. I have the Maximus Hero XI.
  6. So I bought an 8086k new back in October of last year. Has served me greatly with my rig so far. Here is my dilemma though. I am about to purchase parts for a custom hardline water cooling loop, and before I make that commitment I wanted to know if I should sell my 8086k in favor of a 9700k. I ask this for 2 reasons. First, the recent vulnerabilities around hyperthreading make me wonder if switching to a 9700k will matter, and second, I have a z390 mobo so getting the latest gen is viable and resale on 8086ks seems stable around $390 so I would lose an arbitrary amount of money.
  7. I have had my 680 for like 5 years now. My mindset is another few months for the next gen of cards is nothing
  8. Hey all. I have been out of the loop when it comes to rig building since I built my current machine 5 years ago. I know because of the mining community that the GPU market sucks, so I was wondering if I am better off just parting my current rig out and buying a premade? My Current Rig: ASUS GTX 680 2gb i5-3570k ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 ATX LGA1155 8gb Corsair Vengence DDR3 1600mhz Corsaire HX 750w Gold+ Power Supply Thanks
  9. I love the fact that the Z2 is waterproof and has front facing speakers. The custom skin by Dbrand is super cool and it's great that they sponsored this giveaway!
