I doubt it matters at all. At any point you should be able to use the MSM tool assuming it's a OP9 to put it back to stock with a locked bootloader, to send it back. OP devices are pretty tough to brick.

You do not have the same ability to do the same thing yourself on the OP10 but as with all OP devices, you can contact OP they will remote in, and flash the OS for you.

I haven't run a stock OS since the very early days of Android. Only had to warranty one phone, a Nexus device. Reloaded a the factory Google image on it. Google had no problems swapping it out it for me. Actually the tech support call and warranty process was painless, I told them my troubleshooting steps, and I had already wiped it, and reloaded the google image, nothing fixed the problem, the tech said great, hardware issue, and authorized a swap for me.

I'm confused. You value the software support, but want to put on your own OS. That new lineage will end your warranty and any manufacturer Support.

If you want to go this route, go the OP9, at least you have Lineage support (and other custom ROMs if you want). OP is not the same since the merge into OPPO. (Not that they have been quite the same for a while).

They have been very anti developer lately.

There doesn't really seem like there will be any development for the OP10, so you will be stuck with whatever OP supplies.

Posting this from an OP 8T (running Lineage).

I built a new custom UI on top of OpenHardwareMonitor with additional features, mainly linear fan curves with custom temperature sources.

         STORY
    ______________________________

As you guys may know, SpeedFan is sadly not updated anymore, so newer boards are not detected properly.

The main feature I used was the custom fan curves with custom temperature sources. I used it to bind my case fans speed to the hottest component of my PC, my GPU.
(My BIOS only supports CPU temperature as a temperature source for the PWM fans).

I searched around for an alternative software with this particular feature and only found a paid option (Angus Monitor).

However, I also came around this:

    https://github.com/openhardwaremonitor/openhardwaremonitor
    https://github.com/LibreHardwareMonitor/LibreHardwareMonitor

The first link is an original project which could be downloaded here https://openhardwaremonitor.org/, but just like SpeedFan, the project is not updated anymore.
However, thanks to the code base being open sourced, there are a couple of active branches, LibreHardwareMonitor being the best one I found, supporting my MSI Z390 Edge AC board and being updated regularly.
OpenHardwareMonitor is divided into two parts, an API to interact with your hardware ( CPU, RAM, Fans... ) and a UI. The existing UI is a HWMonitor clone that allows to set a manual fan speed to any fan, but no temperature/speed fan curve here.
    ( sigh )

So I decided to make my own lightweight application with the OpenHardwareMonitorLib API, and here is what I got so far...

    Current features:
OTA update Multi-config support with quick-switch from tray icon Dark/light mode + colors Graph fan curves Linear fan curves Flat fan curves Mixed fan curves Sync fan curves Custom name for each fan / curve / control Material UI ( thanks to http://materialdesigninxaml.net/ ) Smooth fan speed transitions Custom temperature source Automatic or manual matching between your controls and fan speeds Activation% (dead zone) for each fan Saves your current configuration and reload it on startup Board support is updated whenever the API gets an update!
Please note that this is a small personal project. It works great for my needs but I didn't test it on a hundred different motherboards. Take it as it is. If it works on your current setup, well you got your fan control situation sorted at least until you change your motherboard!

If you want to help me out a bit or give me feedback, I included some links/button in the left hamburger menu out of the way to send me an email
    or to pay me a 🍺 ... or 🍺🍺🍺.

I will also keep an eye on this thread to see how it goes.

I`d take the 1060 3GB version. Thats almost 100% more powerful than that 1050 mobile gpu. Undervolt the  8300 a bit & test thermals, but overall it depends on the games u want to play vs amount of time u will actually 3d model with the CPU (or maybe your app uses the gpu)

but thats just me, i like more GPU power over CPU.

Just by specs, Acer. Rendering is still mostly CPU and memory based, as long as it still have some sort of graphics card, that's enough.

Also hot tip, Swappa.com is the bomb when it comes to buying used phones. Recently purchased a mint iPhone X (256GB) for my Fiance for $625, and have seen the OP6 on there for just over $300.

    Why 6GBs of RAM?

You should probably just go for an S8, it's like $250 CAD and this seller offers condition choices, good or above are usually pretty flawless.

You can just install Nova Launcher to get your phone more like stock android.

I know it's technically "Older", but the hardware has not changed much since it launched: OnePlus 6.
The 8GB, 128GB variant is my daily driver and will be until someone else makes another phone with headphone jack, fast fingerprint sensor, and near stock OS (Oxygen OS is amazing and I've loved it for a long time).

H500i is basically the H500 with a smart configuration.
If you wanna keep the 2 stock fans, id say keep them as top and rear exhaust, and get some 140mm for front intake
wanna maximize the air flow, id say change the top exhaust to a 140mm too.
like what @goto10 said, this case is more on the feature side. But its airflow/temperature is def on the better side comparing to many other TG cases.

    2. Ram comparability is always a factor. your ram will always run on the lowest speed / clock if your rams are not the same
    3. Yes, but you should get the 16gb DIMM instead of a single 8GB stick for reasons above
    4. Im using the MSI B450 Carbon Pro and its very good so far :>. but your mobo seems fine. no need to change it

Ya true, I forgot about that part. Every1 screwed up their B450 mobo except for MSI apparently.
But if its not extreme OCing, it wouldnt be that bad is it? I'm just thinking on the practical / economical side, so OP doesnt change their mobo for very little applicable upgrade.

Try and use the XMP profile, since thats what the RAM is setup for.
Also Voltage and latency comes into play when changing frequencys...

Are you really sure? I mean for OCing isnt the VRM higly inadequate? Or is that just me not trusting 5 6 phase VRMs...

You can have at least 127 keyboards all plugged into the same PC and working at the same time. (that was the max number of USB devices on a single host controller, I assume its not changed with newer standards)

Software to enable enhanced features on a keyboard aren't drivers. They're just software that knows how to talk to the keyboard and they're programmed to specifically look for the keyboard.

So basically, there shouldn't be any problems having multiple peripheral software installed.
