  1. http://www.ncix.com/detail/patriot-pb120gs25ssdr-blaze-series-120gb-11-102494-1310.htm http://www.ncix.com/detail/patriot-pb240gs25ssdr-blaze-series-240gb-4d-102495-1310.htm I was thinking about getting one of them this week because they're on sale and i need a new SSD to install into a laptop (if it works well maybe get another for my PC). Only problem is i don't see any reviews on them when i tried searching so i don't know if they're reliable (i, like most people don't want their SSD to fail after only a few months). The read and write speeds look amazing too that's why im considering these. Any help/advice would be appreciated, please and thank you.
  2. Thanks linus for all the content that you put out, when i first built my PC i used your videos to help me pick my parts and your how to guides to know how to put everything together. Your fast as possible videos are interesting to watch and cleared up some questions i had about hardware stuff. Here's to another million subscibers!
  3. Hello Everyone, I have a really old PC (approx 8 years?) and i recently decided to just try upgrading it so I can have a media PC in the living room, so far I've added a SSD and its running fantastic, but the graphics card right now is an ATI Radeon HD 3850 and only has DVI ports, the pictures aren't as "crisp" as I want them to be and the colours seem a little off for watching movies and tv shows. I want to try replacing this video card with a gt730 and hook up the PC to my TV through HDMI. The only problem I have right now is I don't know if they're compatible with each other. I've read somewhere that as long as there is a PCI-E slot any graphics card will go into the motherboard (can I get a confirmation for future reference?) Please and Thank You everyone. Motherboard: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5KVM/gallery/ Old Graphics Card: Link on AMD can't be found New Graphics Card: http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gt-730-2gb-c7-98824.htm
  4. Thinking about building a media PC (one just to have plugged into my TV so i can use externals/USBs or just use the internet to watch videos). Not sure if these two are compatible (first time looking into m-itx mobos). This mobo: http://www.ncix.com/detail/asus-p8h61-i-r2-0-mitx-lga1155-f0-75617.htm and This CPU: http://www.ncix.com/detail/intel-pentium-g3258-anniversary-unlocked-d2-97890-1011.htm For future reference, how do you check if a CPU is compatible with a Mobo? Please and Thank you everyone!
  5. Assuming I don't want to overclock it, will it still be able to handle HD playback?
  6. A friend told me that streaming takes a larger toll on the CPU then the GPU will the pentium that got recommended by TheSLSAMG (sorry I'm new not sure how to actually tag him/her) be enough to watch it on HD? (assuming no overclocking)
  7. Hello everyone, I'm trying to build a pc for my little brother and after hearing recommendations I've narrowed it down to gtx750ti or gt730. He is mainly going to use this PC to play SCII (doesn't play anything else really) and he likes to play everything on low with high as possible effects, watching streams (HD preferred), potentially start streaming and just browsing the internet. I'd like to hear some more opinions about which one to choose. I want the most cost effective GPU that will satisfy the requirements. I know that this is the place to ask about GPU but would it be bad if I asked about CPU recommendations for my requirements while I'm here? EDIT: These are the GPU's that im looking at specifically http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gt-730-2gb-c7-98827.htm http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gtx-750ti-2gb-cf-94331-1248.htm Please and Thank you everyone.
  8. Oh that sucks. But thanks for your help anyway
  9. Would getting this:http://www.ncix.com/detail/hdmi-to-dvi-d-dual-link-5c-98350.htm and using my HDMI to DVI adapter work? or would HDMI to DP and HDMI work?
  10. My monitors only support VGA and HDMI, no DVI sadly
  11. I've tried tuning them both but I can't get get them both to be the same.
  12. I bought two new monitors and they both don't look the same (colour wise and images not as sharp) even though they're both going to the same PC with GTX 770. Right now I'm using an HDMI cable for one (this monitor has what i want the colours to be) while the other one is plugged into the PC with an HDMI cable but through an HDMI to DVI-D adapter this one makes the colours a little too dim and flat. I've tried using a VGA to DVI-I Adapter too but this makes the colours too bright. I have a VGA to Displayport coming in and a VGA to DVI-D coming in the mail soon and currently own HDMI to Displayport (just not on me so I can't test it, will using this with on one and HDMI on the other solve my problem?). With what I have is there anyway to match both the monitors to have the same colours. (I can purchase needed stuff if I REALLY have to but I'd prefer not to) Also I was wondering is it the plugs in my GPU that determines all of this or is the the plugs from my monitors that are giving me problems. (just curious) Please and Thank you Everyone.
