  1. hello people ! my question is regarding NZXT H440 with the H100i cooler from corsair. at the moment i have cooler installed at the front of the case with push and pull, (sucking cool air from outside and pushing it inside) and im not sure if it would not be better if i installed it in push or pull at the top of the case as an exhaust. my temps are pretty weird, they seem high at idle 35-40*C and 50-55*C at gaimng and at prime95 test. (+ mobo temp is about over 40*C) so im not really sure what to do.. my specs case- h440 mobo- crosshair v formula z cpu- amd fx8350 (stock) ram - 8gb 2400 amd radeon r9 gpu - radeon r9 290 powercolor pcs+ ssd - 256gb mx100 psu - 850 evga g2 hdd - 1tb hdd 2revoltec fans at top (120mm) + 1 at the back 140mm stock case fan (all 3 exhaust) 2 stock h100i fans + 3 stock case fans (all intake) thanks for help )
  2. Linus is the BOSS ! i found him while searching for unboxing of something, and instead of watching unboxing of the thing that i wanted to buy i watched at least 20 different videos from Linus, and thats how it all began, i even created YT account to subscribe to his channel heh. i would like to say something more but gas in my lighter is very low
  3. Hello, i am a wee bit worried about my brand new rig. the thing that i worry about are temperatures, yes i know that H440 is not very well ventilated and temps might be wee bit higher than normal. so lets start with my rig- case NZXT h440 mobo asus crosshair V formula-z cpu AMD FX8350 (stock) cooling Corsair H100i (stock fans) ram AMD R9 gamers edition 8gb 2400mhz gpu powercolor R9 290 PCS+ psu EVGA 850 G2 ssd crucial mx100 hdd seagate 1tb so now- my setup is as follow i have the Radiator for my H100i mounted to the front of the case on the bottom 2 slots, so the fresh air from outside pushes air through the rad to inside of the case (+ 1 stock nzxt fan above the rad to get more air inside) then i have 2 revoltec fans (120) at the top of the case for exhaust + one stock 140 nzxt fan at the back for exhaust aswell. the temps are pretty high i guess because when i check temps with HW monitor there are 2 temps for cpu (?) one shows temps between 18-20*C at idle and the other one shows 38-41*C at idle, the AI suite shows the higher temps. so im confused with the temps but they seem pretty high for idle temps, BUT when i do a prime95 test the MAX temp on 100% cpu usage is 55*C (and the lower one is about 22-30*C). my gpu temps are pretty low as for R9 290- 38-40*C idle and 60*C when gaming. anyone could help me with the temps ? should i change the fans ? i thought about going with push and pull in this case Corsair SP120 green led (1650rpm would be enough?) maybe put the SP120 as the exhaust aswell ? please help guys. (not really sure where to post this) sorry for any mistakes English is my second language. Thank you

  5. hello, so... i build my new PC from the scratch, everything brand new, except windows version and headset and the problem IS - after windows is installed ( fresh cope windows 7 professional N 64bit ) i installed all the drivers and the media addon for the N version of windows and then i plugged in the headset (CREATIVE SOUND BLASTER 3D tactic RAGE) the default windows drivers has installed and it worked fine for a second but then when i unplug the headset and plug it in back again the windows has some sort of a lag in the sound department when i plug it back again the system takes around 1-4 minutes before it actually discovers the headset (the led on headset is glowing so there is power source for sure) and it works like that both ways, when i unplug the headset it takes around 3 mins before it goes back on speakers. i also tried to do it faster manually but when i go to control panel and click on sound there is a lag aswell and after around 3 mins the sound settings window open but the settings are already changed within that time. its been like that on my old system and its like that on the new one im not sure if its the windows or the headset itself. any help would be appreciated, if you need more info just ask. (sorry for bad english) asus crosshair v formula-z amd fx8350 amd 8gb ram 2400 r9 290 powercolor pcs+ ssd 240 crucial mx100 1tb HDD

    Best PSU

like above, i recommend the EVGA 850W G2, good price to performance and its on superflower base as i good remember.
  7. AMD R9 gamer 8GB RAM 2400mhz just got this RAM and when i opened it at the top of the heatsink i noticed something weird, the RADEON R9 gamer series writing was covered in something rough what look liked its going to glow in the dark ? (LOL?) and i put it up against some sunlight and then went to the dark and BOOM it glows in the dark, but is it normal ? they dont advertise it or anything, i got this ram for free from overclockers.co.uk when i bought my R9 290 graphic card. thanks for help guys i know its stupid question and topic but i had to ask just in case i got scammed or anything like that
  8. OCUK my friend but i guess if its stated in the specs that it has been checked and it should work just fine ?
  9. i prefer the red team to be honest, the price to performance is awesome for me so i will stick to the AMD, but thanks and YEAH i completely forgot about the HDD but i already own 1x 1tb and 2x 500gb HDD's so that wont be a problem yeah, the ram comes free with the gpu but i guess its a fairly decent ram considering the price, clock speed and the brand, nice bonus i would say
  10. Hi guys, i would like to share my plans. The PC will be green themed, green LED's, green fans etc. things that i think im gonna get by the end of this month: Case: NZXT H440 Green (£91) MoBo: Asus Crosshair V formula-Z (£170) CPU: AMD FX8350 x8 4.0 Ghz (£111) CPU-c:Corsair H100i (£65) GPU: PowerColor R9 290 PCS+ (£305) RAM: AMD R9 Gamers 8GB 2400 Mhz (FREE) PSU: SuperFlower Leadex 750W 80plus gold (£87) SSD: Crucial M500 240Gb (£80) any suggestions ? Thanks
  11. i stated it as mine but ive not got it yet, i just need to press "order" but in that case i might go for the asus crosshair v formula-z. allright thats clear for me, thank you
  12. when i check the specs of the crosshair v formula the 2400mhz is ??(OC)?? what does that mean ? http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/CROSSHAIR_V_FORMULAZ/specifications/ thanks
  13. Hello everyone, I will be buying a R9 290 powercolor pcs+ and the shop offers free AMD R9 gamer 8GB RAM 2400mhz. and the question is, will my motherboard ASUS sabertooth 990fx r2.0 with AMD FX8350 will be able to run these RAM sticks without any problems ? what i read so far the mobo might downclock the ram to 1866mhz automatically ? AMD ram is better for AMD cpu ? (because there is something different than xmp or something like that ?) (i wont be overclocking much) the ram is free so why not upgrade from Gskill Sniper 8gb 1600 to the ram above. Thanks
  14. That is AWESOME information, thank you alot and the rest for their help and opinions, really appreciated. this PCS+ with the free ram for ONLY 305£ is REALLY tempting but can i fit the 2400mhz ram into the Asus sabertooth 990fx R2.0 on the website is says "4 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory Dual Channel Memory Architecture " will it even work ? i know i wont notice any difference between 1333 and 1866 ram but if i get the 2400 for free i will obviously change from my 1600. and the powercolour card look in my opinion is better than tri-x. thanks
  15. Hi everyone, so as the topic says im not sure which R9 290 should i get. Iam more towards the XFX R9 290 DD (280pounds) but is it worth payin the extra money and getting XFX R9 290 Black Edition DD(320pounds) ? i chose this card because of the price and the look of it, it looks really elegant and it suits the case that im getting (NZXT H440) + lifetime warranty or maybe its not worth getting the XFX at all, and maybe going with asus, msi, saphire, gigabyte is a better option (they are around 300-320 pounds) what are your thoughts guys, any help will be appreciated Thanks
