  1. I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 15 M3525. I've been trying to get it to boot from USB to install Linux, but I can't get any USB option to show in the BIOS. The BIOS it's using is insydeH20 v1.6.0. In Security, I've disabled Secure Boot, and set Secure Mode to Audit Mode, an option I'd seen as a resolution, but I still couldn't see either a USB or Portable HDD. I've tried through both USB ports, and even through a Type-C dock, but I'm yet to see a drive show up. Attached is a screenshot of the Secure Boot section, and a shit of the Advance section. If anyone can provide any next steps, or let me know any further info, that would be amazing.
  2. I really like the Surface Pro X, and can see it becoming my main machine. I just can't find the answers to these questions, mainly for work, and mainly around VPN Does Remote Desktop (RDP) work the same? And Can I still use .pfx keys for VPNs? Is there an ARM version of Windows 10 Pro?
  3. I'm looking to upgrade my 8 yr old 1080p Samsung TV. Looking through the brands, they each seem to have more or less the same feature set (4K, some level of HDR, decent refresh rates), but the prices vary from as low as $900(Hisense, TCL) to $3000+ (Samsung, Sony,LG) Is this markup akin to the brand name markup you pay for Macs? Or is there a noticeable difference in the panels? I don't really game much, and looking more for the best cinematic TV. Budget would be $2500 Max. These are the TVs I've come across so far that seem to more or less have everything I'm looking for If anyone knows of any other/better options, I'd love to hear them
  4. So testing since, this doesn't appear to be device related. Any time I use a touchscreen in chrome/ff, I have this issue. Edge doesn't seem to have this problem.
  5. For the last few months, I haven't been able to right-click, open in new tab through touch on my Asus 2in1. If I want to do this, I have to find and reattach the keyboard, then right-click using the touchpad. I've tried rolling back updates, trying the latest updates. I've tried through Chrome, FireFox, Edge and Opera Any ideas appreciated.
  6. My H800 Headset is longer being picked up by Windows, either in Device Manager or Audio Devices. When I turn it on, there's just a steady blinking green light. I've tried: Pairing with Bluetooth to get around it, but it doesn't pick it up. Updating Windows Uninstalling and re-installing, but I can't find the Drivers for the headset, and Windows isn't detecting it after I removed the drivers through the Hidden Items in Device Manager Draining power from the headset completely USB 2 and 3 on different computers Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Thanks for the quick reply. So I should be able to run 2 instances of a miner(xmr-stak), and just define each GPU in each Miner instance?
  8. I am currently using a 1070 for mining Monero (XMR). I also have a 580, and would like to be able to use both in the same system. Is this something that is even possible? I'm currently using XMR-Stak
  9. I'm going to try that next. The odd part is that, when formatted, theres always 100MB of disk space that can't be used/erased. I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say, but I don't have an optical drive, nor a copy of Windows 8 on DVD.
  10. So I've formatted both the USB and the SSD multiple times, and when installing Windows, I get the 80070002 error, which seems to relate to corrupt files. Formatting has been done through disk management, diskpart and right-click format, and the same error keeps occuring. Has anyone had this issue, and resolved it outside of formatting?
  11. As helpful as that may be, its a Windows 10 upgrade from 8.1, and I don't have the 8.1 disk, or a bacup to boot from
  12. I've just upgraded everything bar my SSD and hdd, and now, when booting into Windows 10, it restarts after a few minutes, and goes straight to the BIOS. When I check the Boot Order, the only option is he UEFI Boot Mode, or Disabled. I have tried Reset and Refresh My PC. They couldn't complete, and changed nothing. The only way I can get into Windows is Power Button shutdown, the boot up. I've checked and reseated the SSD connectors. Any Ideas?
  13. It does need a skylake cpu , so i can update the bios for kaby lake
  14. I was using the incorrect screws. Its tight, but everything fits. Now, though, it won't display anything. I have used a TV and a monitor, onboard and gpu HDMI ports, 2 differnt cables, reseated the memory, and double checked all connectors. Does it need a bios update for lga1151 CPUs?
  15. Also, just noticed that trying to install on backplate screws 1 and 2,they receed into the motherboard
  16. The backplate doesn't sit flush with the motherboard. Also, I feel like the following tilt shouldn't be normal for an install process?
  17. 1 and 2 protrude through. 3 and 4 remain sunken just underneath the motherboard.
  18. The H50 says it has compatability with LGA1151, but when trying to install the backplate on the msi h110i pro mobo,it doesn't quite line up with all four corners. I have tried installing inside and outside the sugo sg13, either way, two of the backplate screws don't push through the motherboard. The other two can be pushed through, but they fall back out. Am I missing something, orientation wise? Or does this cooler not actually fit LGA1151?
  19. No need to apologize. Listing the obvious makes sure I didn't miss anything. I have disconnected and reconnected the connector to the mobo. How would I check to see if the works aren't in their sockets? Power button was a little loose, reseated it, still nothing.
  20. No. I turned it off after filling the reservoir. I then removed the paperclip and plugged it into the motherboard. I have switched it back and forth, plugged in, waiting a good 10-15 seconds each time.
  21. It works. Ive been charging my 3DS from it.
  22. Jumpstart as in I connected the power cable to the PSU, and shorted the power and the ground on the other end. Breakout as in the connector has 10 connections, but you can separate them. The 24 pin power cable breaks out into two separate 20 pin and 4 pin connectors. I didn't think it was a pump issue
  23. I recently moved, and drained my custom loop for the move. It sat, unused for about 3 weeks, and I just refilled it. I got power by jump starting the PSU with a paperclip, and the pump/res and fans all worked.I then plugged everything back in, flipped the switch and got nothing. No fans, no PSU noise. Nothing.I unplugged and reconnected all cables to the PSU. I left them all plugged in on the component side. I do have a 4-pin breakout from the CPU power cable, but i already have the 8-pin connector plugged in on both ends.Would it damage any components if I jumpstarted the power supply with all components plug in?
  24. I formatted the drive to exFAT, it is recognized and working now
  25. I have a Jotway 8-bay HDD enclosure, which I have been using daily for at least 5 years. I recently tried putting old 2TB drives (A WD Green and Seagate Pipeline HD) that used to be in there back in, and while they are recognized and work in Windows, when I reboot my OSMC Raspberry Pi, they spin up, but are not recognized. The only change from my previous setup, when I used the drives, to this one, is the swap from Kodi to OSMC. I have quick formatted them both, and tried again, I have shut down osmc, and rebooted, I have also tried every slot in the 8-Bay enclosure.
