  1. in other words he's biased and he didn't even realized it lol, i watched GN's video and acknowledge the problems LTT are having immediately, being a LTT subcriber for a long time i totally see GN's point and criticism, ego is and lack of seriousness and professionalism is getting bad at LTT's channels
  2. (like the fact that we didn't 'sell' the monoblock, but rather auctioned it for charity due to a miscommunication... AND the fact that while we haven't sent payment yet, we have already agreed to compensate Billet Labs for the cost of their prototype). Linus....it doesn't matter whether you sell it or give it away with or without financial gains, it's a dumb mistake and "miscommunication" should not happen in the first place, just own it and be better, your team is getting incompetence and it's showing, it's like i am watching a bunch of barbarians that never uses a computer to do reviews on computer products, it's funnily bad, there is a balance of everything, you're getting too much ego and too much "fun unseriousness entertainment" over serious tech review with accurate data which all tech channels should be accurate in the first place while you can still be funny and entertaining to watch.
  3. Hey guys, so recently I bought a HTC one m8 from carousell, the ads claims it is brand new unsealed unit so i thought might be some old stocks that they can't sell, but after getting the phone the screen has 2 small scratches and the plastic middle frame near the speaker is chipped, meaning it's refurbished set and opened before by unprofessional people, so i send back and told them to exchange another unit, after they delayed for a week finally got back the phone today and screen has no scratches and the bezel of the frame is better than last unit, but upon closer inspection, i found out the screen are so cheap looking like plastic film not glass, using reflection the screen looks uneven like there's a layer of plastic on the screen and got ripples all over it like a waves when checking it with reflection, it is probably refurbished screen with super low quality screen replacement pushing the screen i can see the screen literally being bent down like a flexible plastic and scratching the edge around the screen there is adhesive coming out, also checking at the main back camera, the camera lens glass are not even, on one side the glass is much deeper and the other side the glass lens are higher, so as a person with ocd and perfectionist who loves to keep his tech toys in mint condition, of course i could not stand it, but i am tired and fed up with the shop owner's misleading ads and keep delaying to replace my unit, I decided that i will either send to shop to replace the screen or i will diy replace it, i just want to ask if there is any experts here that knows where to buy oem one m8 screen and any tips of replacing the screen, i know i can watch tutorial on YouTube to fix but it is better to just collect every info first before i disassemble the phone, also how the camera lens glass are positioned, because i can literally push any side of the glass lens and it will be pushed down and up like so flimsy, it triggers my ocd so bad that the glass lens are uneven depth
  4. welp yeah pretty likely short-circuited by me slightly cracked that connector, anyway i ain't no mobo solder pro so might as well take it to repair shop for that if, thank you for your answer
  5. Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone could give me an insight of what might be the cause of this problem, so i tried to replace thermal paste on my asus x550ld, specs are: i5 4200u gt820m 4gb ddr3 (upgraded to 12gb) 1tb hdd problem is after i replaced the thermal paste for this time (I've done it before), the laptop just turns on whenever i plug in power, with or without battery, and the laptop will turns on right after shutting down, meaning whatever i do it will not stop booting unless pulling the plug or just turn the charger power off, meaning i have to force shutdown my laptop every time from now on, things that i suspect that is the cause of this are, 1) i accidentally broke something on the motherboard, because when i tried to remove the lvds cable which i believe is the cable for the screen? i forgot how to remove that cable properly, so instead of pulling the cable backward, i tried to pry/lift the cable up thinking it was the correct way to remove/disassemble the cable, and so i heard a tiny crack noise from doing so and immediately stopped prying/lifting the cable up, i have no idea if i broke it or not cause i pry/lift it very slowly and gently but still heard the crack so might be too late for that. 2) second thing i noticed is when i am done putting everything back, my laptop's time are all messed up and incorrect, so i tried everything to reset or update the time back to normal, tried resetting bios,re-inserting cmos battery, tried everything on windows setting to try updating the time, it still won't work, now this happened a long time ago i can't remember what i actually did but eventually the time went back to normal after tinkering for that whole day thks for reading and would appreciate if anyone can tell me if, by prying the lcd connector could be the culprit of this problem or not, this frustrates me every time i turn off my laptop cause i can't really turn it off permanently unless "killing it off" which make me feel like a bad computer murderer lol
  6. I watched a video from jay2cents on youtube where he solved similar problems to that, the fix he had done is by getting new fresh bios and reflashing the card and it works, maybe you can try that
  7. Hi fellow LTT members, I was just wondering if anyone still owns some asus matrix cards like hd5870,hd7970,gtx580,gtx285 matrix? i wanted to buy them for collection purpose thks
  8. yeah it's pretty hard to find these stuff when you need it especially when people just throw their box away, so just trying my luck to see if there is people stll having those laying around, i would sacrifice my storage space for them pretty looking graphic cards lol
  9. i know this might sound stupid but uhhh....was wondering if there is any place that might have lots of gpu boxes to throw away or sell, i am one of those guy with collecting obsesion, was currently looking into buying a sapphire hd6970 battlefield bad company 2 vietname edition from a guy in my country but the box is damaged a little bit, by that i mean really just the effect you get when you fold a cardbox in half, so i was thinking if i can use the power of the internet to try and search for boxes and complete my gpu collection?
  10. So i just rebuilded my desktop inside a case this time but i changed the motherboard and cpu but nothing change on the hdd, i powered it on goes into bios just fine, with latest bios for the asus p5p43td pro, but it does not boot into windows, it just stuck at the blue windows logo with nothing happening,so i cleared the bios,re-update the bios, then tried to clean install windows because generally you need to clean install after any hardware change, so i tried to clean install using both bootable usb and dvd to which none of that work, when i press any button for it to boot from usb or dvd, it seems like the installation of windows is starting with the blue windows logo on the screen, but after few seconds it just restarts the pc and thus i cannot get into windows or clean install windows now, before rebuilding my pc the hdd is running fine with windows 10. spec: cpu: intel xeon x5460 hard modded to lga775 motherboard: asus p5g41t mlx (before rebuild) asus p5p43td pro (current mobo) ram: corsair 2x2gb psu: corsair vs650 gpu: sapphire hd7970 ref chassis: segotep k6
  11. i think asus had no problem with the bios,i only know brand like hp and dell had a problem with that you know the bios whitelist stuff i think
  12. nah even 30fps is fine bro no need to have a 60fps cause i am using the adapter which will not perform all that well but at least enough for me to enjoy the game
  13. nope i had already confirm with the adapter seller,he is using the same laptop as me and it runs fine with everything high on witcher 3 well his gpu is a gtx970,i guess i can just turn some settings on high and some on low to increase fps, trust me i had been gaming with super low setting so anything that surpass medium is good enough for and my eyes had been watching those games runs like 20 fps or below all the time so anything above those i can totally live with, and of course its not plug and play i know what i am dealing with just need to ask some info on how to use that software and make it work on internal displays
