    Netgear RAX120

Im not sure that anyone cares, but ive gotten my hands on all the hardware i need. IPERF time. anyone wants anything specific tested please let me know!

    Netgear RAX120

Asus claims that the data that they used to advertise , for their ax11000 is "uplink OFDMA". Wouldnt that imply the ax11000 has this feature? cant find it explicitly being stated to lack it ,like in netgears case! https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/ROG-Rapture-GT-AX11000/ in the more about ax-section, tab 3 , superscript "1" , under "better coverage" has footnotes saying its for uplink OFDMA

Darn it. Thanks for pointing that out! I truly appreciate it that you took the time to do it!

    Netgear RAX120

The client device will be another 802.11ax router wired to a PC ,configured as a media bridge, possibly an rax80(or any ax router). Also , the SD855 on the upcoming Galaxy s10 will support ax. The only device that supports all features from the most recent IEEE draft is the RAX120(only consumer unit to use the Qualcomm chip) which is why I'm in desperate need of it. Could you check out the link above and confirm my doubts that it is a lottery system for invites?

    Netgear RAX120

Greetings Peeps. I need yall's help! So for my Masters Thesis i need access to a 802.11ax router with 8x8 MIMO on the 5ghz band. The only option that i have come across is the Netgear RAX120 . The other flagship options dont have the Qualcomm modem that supports 8x8 MIMO, but use Broadcom chips that only do 4x4. Turns out the Router is not going to be "SOLD". The only way is to get it through the Netgear Primier Beta. https://www.netgear.com/landings/premier/ Im not sure how this works.ive signed up for it in the above link but some already have it as i've seen an unboxing video of it on youtube. Im assuming its a signup after which a select few will receive invites? Can someone shed more light on this ? if it indeed is a lottery invite system, would any of you be willing to signup on my behalf and help me get my hands on the router so i can Graduate? It will really help me out. Thanks in advance guys.

    i7 6950x vs R7 1800x

    You sir, deserve a cookie!

    i7 6950x vs R7 1800x

well that would explain some of it. do we have any more specifics on the same?
  8. So i am working on my technical seminar Paper and its about how Moore's law is coming to an end. While i was looking into the transistor counts of some processors i noticed that the R7 1800x has significantly more transistors than the 6950x. What i am confused about is , how does a processor(1800x has 4.8 bln transistors vs the 6950x has 3.2 bln) with significantly more transistors and higher clock rate(base 3.0 vs 3.6ghz ) fail to out perform the 6950x.Transistor count and their switching frequency are two main factors defining IPC.The architecture does play an important role in IPC but to what extent ? Can someone experienced in the field of VLSI engineering please elaborate on this? Thanks in advance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transistor_count *MODS , please move the thread to where it needs to be if it already isn't!

PC crashes 20 mins into playing games!

Do you have access to any other video card? if so please try it with that one, also try this card on another system if you can! try running onboard and see if this happens! let us know!
  10. What cooler do you have? How are the temps, use the temp monitoring tool(HWmonitor) and let us know. if the temps are fine, it must be speed step ...turn that off!

    2500k vs 6600k?

I wouldnt be surprised if your 2500k hit 5ghz with little over stock voltage......show me one 6600k that can do that! its a great chip man! but as far as IPC goes the 6600k is much better.....shouldn't be a problem though...the 2500k is still great!
  12. could you check cpu-z while running prime 95? post a pic of that pls!

    Will a AMD A8-5500 Bottleneck a GTX 960?

    I'm Fairly sure it will!
  14. 4460 if your budget fits only that! if not get the 4590. the marginal clock difference might help is some cases.

Im out of ideas. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/978610 ^see if that helps?! also ,has it been working so far and suddenly stopped being usable..... or has it always been like this?
