  1. It looks like it means that 2 of your SATA ports will be disabled as that M.2 device is SATA and not NVME
  2. I recently purchased 2 PureWings 2 fans on the cheap and I'm looking for recommendations on where to place them. My case is the Phanteks Evolv tempered glass (the first one before they made the improvements) and I'm using the EVGA CLC280 AIO with stock fans. I already have 2 SilentWings3 as intake up front and 1 more in the rear as exhaust. Should I put the PureWings on the AIO and be done with it, or something else?
  3. I know I really shouldn't care, but I can't stand the look of that board. I went with the Tomahawk. Thank you for your input
  4. If you note the location I have listed, we don't have a MicroCenter here. Or anywhere within a 13 hour drive.
  5. It may be, and would likely look better in my case. Right now, they are listing for 295 and up though
  6. I forgot to mention that part of teaching from home includes editing videos. I'm already bumping up against my 16 gb of ram on occasion. I clearly don't upgrade often, so I'm looking to minimize my "why didn't I (fill in the blank)"

Should I look at other motherboards or ram? Should I save myself $35 and go for the intel 665p? I'll be reusing the case, PSU, and video card (for now). I'm running two monitors (Acer XB271HU and Dell U2412M), Audioengine A2 speakers with polk 10" sub, external headphone amp
  8. Care to share your solution? I have the exact same pair of headphones and mic
  9. I think I may have been overcomplicating this. I think that will work, so long as I never want to listen to vinyl with the computer turned off.
  10. I'm not sure if there is a product that will let me do what I want, but here it goes. I have a turntable next to my desk that is currently only hooked up to my speakers (A2+) by RCA inputs. The same speakers are connected to my computer by USB and utilizes the onboard DAC. I'm using the audio out on my computer to connect to my DIY O2 amp with RCA inputs on the back. computer --> USB --> A2+ --> 3.5 mm to RCA --> O2 amp --> DT990 turntable --> preamp --> RCA --> A2+ --> ???? --> O2 --> DT 990 I'd like to have the option to listen to my vinyl through either my speakers or my headphones but don't know of a good solution. I'm considering purchasing a DAC to pair with my amp, but I'm not sure if there is anything that would offer multiple inputs (digital and analog) and allow output to 2 devices.
  11. Nothing especially unique about my setup, except what I've paid for it. I have my Audioengine A2+ (won in a raffle on their site) connected to my computer via USB and using the built in DAC and my Polk Audio PSW10 (father-in-law upgraded and I got his hand me down) connected to extend the low end. I use the RCA ins on the A2+ for my Technics SLDD22 turntable (free when my friends were cleaning out their basement) My DT990 250 ohm headphones were a birthday present from the same friends from whom I got the turntable, I built my own headphone stand using a 6 in round billet of aluminum ($5) and some scrap 1x4 hemlock I laminated together. I did have to buy some flat black spray paint ( ~$15) The O2 amp is a DIY affair which cost me a good $80 - 100, and I think the ModMic 5 cost about $60. All told, maybe $200 out of my pocket
  12. Don't drill any new holes. Jayztwocents already did that so we could learn from him.
  13. I thought Nvidia cards aren't supported by / don't support Freesync. If so, buying a Freesync would be a waste of money.
