  1. This would work so well with postmarketOS https://postmarketos.org/ the pinephone https://www.pine64.org/pinephone/ or even librem 5 https://puri.sm/products/librem-5/ That sounds amazing!
  2. I did watch it, and you're right. It's basically a single joke in an 8 minute video. They didn't mention that linux would be able to software raid these usb drives too, plus there is some awesome stuff that ZFS could have done. I guess it was kind of funny, and a tiny bit interesting that windows doesn't allow you to RAID usb drives. On the one hand that makes total sense; why would you ever want to do that? But in some weird edge cases it might be useful to do so. My feelings coming away from the video is that it's too long for a simple joke. It had some potential to teach a thing or two about raid and how windows, OSX and linux do that, but I'm not sure that including that would have made the video better. Then again, it was enjoyable enough to watch it once without stopping halfway through.
  3. Just for the record, I do actually listen to the podcast version every once in a while, though not through itunes. Oh, and Nick: I wish you all the best!
  4. Gitlab had to make a similar judgment call, they initially removed the list but later reinstated it. See here: https://about.gitlab.com/2016/10/15/gitlab-reinstates-list-of-servers-that-have-malware/ He didn't specify the way the webshops were compromised, just that the javascript code on the website contains malware. Have you seen the responses of some of the shop owners? Crazy: source
  5. I run Kubuntu and updated to 16.10 yesterday, does that count? No more windows-only games for me anymore, but it's so worth it
  6. It seems like the NRSC webshop was compromised with malware to siphon credit card details over a peroid of 6 months, though the leak has been fixed quietly now. The GOP webshop wasn't the only infected shop, a list of 5900 shops is available on gitlab. The list was originally posed on github, but github removed the list, because it is in fact a list of vulnerable webshops. 7. I'm not sure if anyone cares, but I had the same issue with my asus z97-P. After a lot of searching I found that this device is the "ASUS Probe II Sense Drive." You should be able to download the driver from the Asus support site under utilities. Since the answer wasn't in this thread yet I figured I'd post it here.

  9. I would use it as an excuse for my wife to (finally) upgrade my computer.
  10. I personally don't really like the breathing effect on extreme version, but otherwise they're both really cool cards.
  11. Congratulations Linus and all other employers! Thanks for bringing me interesting content, I've learned a lot about technology by watching your videos! As for suggestions: I would like a build guide for a home server, but maybe that's just me.
