not exactly motherboards should still be able to control the speed of the fans but i dont think you get automatic control imo pwm is the way to go

No job? Don't take out a car loan. How would you pay for the payments, plus insurance, plus fuel, plus consumables (tires/wheels/fluids/brakes), plus repair costs?

Totally the wrong thread but i figure since all my online friends are here i can share this:
 
I guess i can announce that i finally got a full time position at McIlhenny... prob shouldn’t of stayed there an “intern” as long as I did but it did end up in a job so I guess it’s not all bad. 
 
I’m trying to figure out how to plan where I’m gonna live. 
 
I kinda would like to get some rental properties eventually. 
 
If I stay with my parents for another ~1.5-2 years I’ve actually figured that I could afford a ~$150k place(you can actually get a decent place with a garage and stuff here for that much that needs minimal work... in fact it’d more than enough house for me...a single guy... most of them are 3 bedrooms) and have it paid off in 10 years whilst still being able to save money. (I have a lot of savings currently... been living with parents all this time and throwing money in a savings acct and spending very little) 
 
Some of that money would go towards a daily driver so I can make the Miata a weekend or even a track car *yay* 
 
Majority of it would go towards another house... purpose of which would be buying it and renting it out. Then buying another place eventually and doing the same. Rental empire with property managers and everything eventually... maybe? Get some passive income going at least... and that’s stuff I could keep forever. 
 
I guess my question is... does this sound like a reasonable plan? McIlhenny company has a very low turnover rate and they are actually paying me better than I expected them to.  Not to mention I’m in IT and i kinda do a better job at staying up to date than some of the people i work with lol. So I think it’s a good stable position for me to use to build some wealth here. 
 
any opinions/thoughts/what you would do’s? I’m all ears. 
 
Im decent at resisting the temptation to spend money all the time, but at the same time my life is a bit dull sometimes for me because of that. Need to find a good balance for myself. I guess that’s what the race car is for... hehe.
