makaronidi reacted to SirCallow in Explain Your Username
I like the almost paradoxical nature of mine. A sir, which implies someone of wise and knightly nature, and callow, which means foolhardy and inexperienced.

I've explained it once before, but I cannot remember when, or if it was before my name change.
"Nona" is the Latin numeral prefix for 9, and "Hexa" is the Greek numeral prefix for Six. 9 + 6, 96. 1996 is my birth year.

makaronidi reacted to DebatED Nothing in Tech that you think will go extinct soon (Discussion)
Those will always exist because you can't let people use a phone in an exam. They've been extinct for people in "real life" for a while, and just get bought by students to sit exams.

Printers in homes? Why do you think that? *realises he hasn't printed anything for months because he just emails people documents or prints them where he needs them with GDrive* ah. I see.

Plugging in a wireless usb mouse and trolling someone is the best thing.
they go to move the cursor down, and instead it moves up.
Then they get this "whaaaat" look on their face.
Then they fight the mouse, by rapidly moving the mouse up again and again on the mouse mat.
it's the funniest thing, honestly..

All the students and teachers at my school have laptops, and I have become one of the few people who actually know what they're doing. I watch people everyday struglle with the fact that when ur plugging in a dvi cable you have to line up the pins, plugging speakers into the microphone jack, and in one realy bad case, somebody asked why they couldn't see the files on their flash drive when the flash drive wasn't plugged in...

Was watching episode 4 of Limitless, FBI seized a hard drive for evidence ... FBI guy pulls the "hard drive" out of the bag, turns out he was holding a power supply! I started laughing, then later on I laughed even more when they were able to get data out of that!!!
... sigh, Hollywood ...

Got a good story for y'all .
So here we go :
Me and 3 of my friends where in Norway for a 3 day vacation and witch BTW was great.
And surprisingly they were semi techie people......Well sort of.
We where in a rented car driving to a near by down next to Oslo to stay there for a night .
As we are driving towards the town they where talking about Hover board witch in fact was interesting....until i got the idea of the type of '' Hover Board ''.
My friend number 1 : '' Oh mate , did you see and heard about those Hover boards , i got to get one of them . ''
Me : OH nice but i thought Hover boards where not invented / not ready yet for the public.. ''
My friend Number 2 : ''No man , people already use them and its awesome , you can get it with any color you want ''
My friend number 3 : ''i heard you can use it go forward and backward and its cool man and its faster than walking ''
Me : ''Oh.. Well how do you even use it ...? *''
friend 3 : you just lean back and forward to contr- ''
At that moment i knew it was one of these ( seen in the picture ) :
This is what i said and i will say it again to any one who calls this a hover board : WHY THE F IS PEOPLE CALLING THIS A HOVER BOARD ?!?!?!?
THE NAME IS IN IT H-O-V-E-R BOARD , DIS SHIT DOES NOT HOVER FUR F SAKE .

Not every PC gamer has heard of CSgo, nor is every PC gamer in to those types of games. You don't need to know what CSgo is, nor play it, to be a PC gamer.

makaronidi reacted to mjKneafsey in Most useless key on the keyboard and what it should be instead
I found myself using them when using Word at university, when my PC was wanting to do it's own format thing.
For me the most useless button is the backslash button. I've never used it, and for me it just ruins the enter button when located like where it is in the image. I like having a tall enter button.
